We may as well just let skip coach them

Or just bring Smoke back considering Thomas coached under him for more years than he did under Skip.

Turtle Thomas

This is the guy who's recruits would never make it to campus because MLB shared the same evaluations as he did, so he was in essence fired for "recruiting too good", no?

Yes, the downfall of LSU's talent pool started in 2004.

While we are on past assistants who coached and/or played for skip , who else coached for him, has titles with skip that could easily fill those head coaching shoes?

It's gonna happen, and everyone knows it's just a matter of time

He was always a great recruiter but he wasn’t a good head coach. Those are two separate things.

Great at recruiting phantoms.

Skip was great!

Gone with the wind!!

Skip had baggage, discovered on the turnstiles, after he left coaching!!!

Assistants under Skip were given playbooks with many missing pages, show us any of Skip’s assistants who went on to glory!!!!

Greed remains in the moral annals of deadly sins and he had the guile to match, in retrospect, I contend!!!!!

Ah, you have assistants with the playbook - Ron Polk wrote it and Skip followed it to a T.

It’s the other intangibles. Skip used to loosely reference those with the USA vs Japan baseball analogy.
