So why did Rittiner pitch 3 innings? Did Mainieri talk about that after the game? I assume he isn't available for today but that he could possibly pitch on Sunday but how many innings can he go? They could have brought in Bradshaw, Cotton, Bertucinni, Mormann....just about anyone (or combination) to pitch the 8th and the 9th and Rittiner would be available tonight if needed. How many innings is he thinking Bourgeois is going to give him?
