Apparently because he wasn’t enrolled for the fall, he’s ineligible for the redshirt rule so the bowl game would cost him an entire year of eligibility.

Like to see the rule on this. Seems like someone would have done this by now if allowed.

It would waste an entire year of eligibility.

1. What kind of example is that to be set?

2. Waste an entire year (likely) on 1 game?

3. He is still the best PROSPECT. Not player. He dominates against East Iberville, the Church Academy, Epsicopal, and the like. Give him time to adjust to the new game.

4. Patience darling. Patience.

This is actually interesting - even if it cost him a year of eligibility, if he’s planning on leaving after 3 anyway it would still be a net gain of a game....

That’s what I’m thinking but does the one game count against his 3?

I know it counts as one against his four but I’m not sure how it would work in regards to the nfl.

I’m just repeating what I was told. I’m still trying to figure it out as well.

good lord the amount of dumb in this thread

rule is practice only. not eligible to play - at all - because not enrolled in fall classes

3 year rule for NFL is 3 years out of HS and has nothing to do with NCAA bi-laws dealing with eligibility

Because he can’t?

This bowl game is still a part of the 2018 season, which Stingley isn’t eligible for.
