Why not keep Daronte Jones as DB coach?

Wasn’t that his job for the Vikings? No harm no foul just let him stay on staff and be the guy who replaces Corey Raymond if they end up hiring another dc

Don’t think he takes a demotion, but I do think you may be onto something here considering Daronte’s resume.

Would not be upset at all if this turns out to be an indicator that Kelly likes what he has in coach Jones.

Well, we just hired a DB coach from ND so it's looking like, as of right now, Daronte Jones will stay on as DC.

You could have him coach corners and Cooks coach safeties or vice versa.

But what's more likely to happen is that Jones will go somewhere else to be the defensive coordinator. Supposedly Penn State is interested.

Cooks will not be only DB coach, Kelly has always had 2 DB’s. Whether that means Daronte stays on as safeties coach, as DC/safeties, or we hire from outside I don’t know
