Why not just run over the damn catcher?

They make a rule that you can't block the plate...yet every time somebody blocks the plate they don't do frick about it. Pap has blocked the plate before and we have gotten away with it. If they are going to block the plate then plow his arse...

Isn't Cole Freeman about 5'8" 175? Running over a catcher probably isn't his best bet.

Would have been out and ejected. Rule is never enforced correctly and hurts the runner every time.

I have always thought the rule should be if they block the plate, then run over them but unfortunately it isn't.
2nd basemen don't block the bag for steal attempts so why the hell do catchers get to at any time?

When the ball is on the way has been good enough. Don't know if that is still the rule. But like I said, catcher shoudn't be allowed to do it at any time.

The rule is stupid...what does a catcher have to lose by blocking the plate?
If he's safe...he's safe.
If he blocks the plate the runner can't get to it without going around the catcher, which will likely result in the runner being out. So he's called out then it's reviewed...the worst that could happen is they call him safe life he should have been anyway.
Its never overturned...so why not do it??
