Why not Jordan Jefferson? - This is why

I live in Alabama now so forgive me if this is a common topic in the Bayou.
I was just told by another one of my LSU collegues, who's dad has some inside info, that the reason Jefferson is not seeing any game time is because he doesn't know the plays. Supposedly, when they huddle he has to defer to the other offensive players for directions.
My thought prior to this was that apparently Les is not seeing improvement in practice and this clarifies it for me. Les has been put in a tough spot and I think he deserves the respect for this past weeks team effort.
Anyone have this same info? Sorry if this is a repeat, all I've seen is questions of why we aren't seeing more of Jefferson.

I've heard the same thing..but Miles interview after the game, he said JJ wasn't ready...but hell, it's 12 weeks into the season?!..do we blame JJ for not being ready, or the coaching staff??

He needs supervised playbook study.

Maybe the dude is just stupid. Cut his arse if he can't read.

That my thing though....why rip on Les when he's truly playing with his best QB. He was patient enough with RP, now we just have to hope that JJ gets his head straight.
Is a JL throwing picks better than a JJ not knowing at all what's going on?

we all know if JJ came in to play, it would only be an option or QB sneak.

This the same reason there was a limited play package for RP last year until late in the year.
People do not understand the recognition and adjustments a QB makes at the line. Evidently, Lee knows it better, but his execution stinks.

This is a very confusing situation, but at this point, Les must have a very good reason for him not getting any chances.

I don't think he's known as a running QB though. As far as the "12 weeks into the season" angle, he's third string, the bulk of their time has been spent developing Lee and Hatch.

I agree with giving Miles the respect for the way the team played with the exception of Lee. The only thing that really ticked me off, and I dont know if was Miles or Crowton but with 1:04 left to play in the game and only needing a field goal to WIN, we are on the 30 something and its 3rd and 3.. Why in the hell would you call a pass play, we would have had a much better chance to get the first down with Scott. Why would you want to take a chance of that dipstick at quarterback throwing another interception. If we would have ran the ball we may all be smiling right now. Same in overtime, it was 3rd and 7, WHY PASS THE BALL? run it and if you dont get the first down then kick a fricking field goal!!!

If Jefferson was at all close to being game ready, Miles would have pulled Lee in a heartbeat. Guaranteed. Hatch would have likely played the entire second half if he was healthy. Miles played with one hand tied behind his back in this game. No coach can overcome that kind of handicap.

Let me stir the pot this morning...
The same was said about Davey and Russell when they struggled early in their careers. I'm guessing the mentally challenged label still applies to black QBs.
Just sayin...

your kicker has already missed once from there. It's basically 3rd and long while we KNOW Alabama is playing 8 in the box. You either show confidence in Lee that he can make a throw, which he has done at points in the game, or don't show any confidence in your QB at all and just waste a down. You don't go into a play KNOWING your QB is going to throw an INT.
The only thing I disagree with is the play itslef. Alabama knows that he has been rolling to his right all game. Go left! Just to see what happens. That's just me.

My only question on this is why come out and say that JJ is getting 50% of the snaps in practice if he's not going to play at all. Doesn't it make sense to give the guy who is going to play the game the morjority of time in practice.

That's kind of my point..it's 12 weeks into the season, i don't see how it's that difficult for JJ to have 6-8 plays he's comfortable with, and we can use him 2-3 series a game..it could benefit Lee tremendously to sit out, watch the defense from the sideline, and maybe slow the game down for him

JJ's not ready? And Lee is?

because that's what you (the fan) want to hear.

Jefferson should get a shot to the extent that he knows the playbook. If he knows 2 plays, put him in for a play or two. If he knows a dozen plays, put him in for a drive or two. If he knows 15-20 plays, consider putting him in for extended play if Lee craps out. Bottom line: let his knowledge of the plays determine his playing time.

doesn't look like lee has the playbook memorized either. he and the recievers have not been on the same page all season. i seriously doubt lafell and byrd are the ones to blame 99% of the time.
