Why isn’t the “Bluegrass Miracle” mentioned like other great endings?

I’m not saying it’s not mentioned, but it’s not treated like the Cal/Stanford game, BC’s Flutie Hail Mary, or even Kick-6.
At least we can say we have the greatest baseball ending in college history.

My guess is that it was against the SEC’s premier basketball school who had very little success in football at that point and it was an 11:00 am game on Jefferson Pilot sports.

It didn’t have much impact on the national bowl picture

Kick-6
Bluegrass Miracle ended up being a game between two 5 loss teams.
It was incredible, I was there in Commonwealth Stadium, but I understand why its not as well known.

Forgive me for asking, but what baseball ending would that be?

Opossum on the field game, of course

Angus will regrettably get shite on for that, but I think it’s great. Dude loves footballs and not baseball. So what?

I watched the game start to finish at 11am on Jefferson Pilot from my apartment at the Commons. One roommate woke up hungover just before the final “drive” and Hail Mary. Another roommate was duck hunting that morning and didn’t find out until listening to radio after game was already over.
I called my Dad after the play who told me he had just turned the game off before the play happened.
I don’t know, it was fantastic in real-time and awesome memory for folks like me who watched. But many others either weren't tuned in or had already tuned out. So many people didn’t experience the immediate joy and improbability. They just saw it on replay. It was about to be an atrocious loss otherwise.

OK, he doesn't like baseball. But he's an LSU fan. How can even the most casual LSU fan - even one who doesn't like baseball - not be aware of the Warren Morris homerun?

Realistically it moreso resembles the Auburn/Georgia ending before the Kick 6 game. It was a great ending, but no one outside of that fan base is going to mention it for generations. It was a Jefferson Pilot game 20 years ago in what was realistically a meaningless outcome.
