I think he is easily above RR right now.
Based on what? How both of them run out onto the field? I'm happy RJ found a groove last week and hope it continues. But you don't know jack about the comparison because Randle hasn't been thrown the ball.

Could it be because he hasn't gotten open?
Just maybe...

Are you guys even reading the quote in the original post?
Jesus christ.

It means he does not know the fricking playbook yet. It's not that hard to understand. Do people really want him in the game so bad they are willing for him to miss blocking assignments and allow Keiland to get tackled for losses or have him run the wrong route and have Jordan throw and int.. LSU is fine are receiver this year with reuben on the field, hell we barely get the ball to the receivers we have out there right now.

He has in practice hasn't he, and RJ has outperformed him. Miles has said RR doesn't know what they want from him yet. RR could overtake him in a couple weeks, but RR hasn't done anything to show that he should be there over RJ. When you aren't ready, you don't play. One mistake can cause a pick for JJ. That can't happen in a close game.

#28 is a senior, had a great, great game. A freshman RR will not see the time of day when a kid, who has commted 4 years to a college football program is playing well. Forget him not knowing the playbook. #28, Jackson, will play.

Are you inferring that RR continually outperforms RJ in practice and yet still can't get any game balls? Because they both practice. They both have opportunites there to move up or down the depth chart. RJ has moved up....not just due to his game performance. Surely you don't think RR should just be handed pt and balls thrown his way just because of his high school star rating?

Randle must be running routes in excess of 10 yards.

No, I'm challenging Fluco's ability to conclude anything other than the fact that RJ has been thrown the ball; Randle has not; and that it's impossible to judge based on those facts alone. I'm not saying Randle is better. I have no way to determine; but neither does anyone else.

Funny because we were throwing downfield before the rain, and if you listened Crowton said he wanted to throw down the field.

Read the OP man. Nobody is using that alone.

Les is Known for not developing freshman early
What freshman can you remember that les has given a significant shot to contribute early on ?

quote:A better asked question is who is in front of the freshman? And why should we play a freshman over a more senior athlete just because said freshman was a 5 star? You do realize that at one time the upperclassmen were also 4 and 5 stars, don't you? Using your logic, we would play all freshman and when they become juniors and seniors, start the process all over again and play the new freshmen. I'm glad you're not the coach.

The last couple of years several freshman have played early. Your idea of a significant shot is that Miles just hands the starting role to a freshman.

No he's not. Don't be stupid.

"Rueben is preparing to play in practice," Miles said. "He does not understand what we want. We want to get him some playing time and some passes thrown to him. Loston is coming along. He took some reps with the second team (Wednesday)."
I dont think les miles knows what he wants, if Les has shown what he wants from his players, than rueben should have no problem learning about 3 plays. Short route, Wide Receiver Screen, and a reverse.

Clues for the clueless:
Randle has played QB in high school and has to learn to play WR.
We have talented players who have been in the system for 2 or 3 years that know how to play WR.
With an inexperienced QB, experienced WRs are more important than ever.
Inexperience at QB and WR is not a winning combination.
Just look at Julio Jones at Bama this year. His numbers will not be as good this year because he doesn't have a senior QB running the offense.

My beef is why can Julio and Barkley play and Randle can't? Is it that complicated that they don't understand what they are doing. I see not doing it when playing Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss, but they should be against the other teams, especially ULL.

Isn't he injured or something?
