Why isn’t Dave Aranda the Head Coach at LSU?

How the frick did Alleva manage to let the Shrimp Boat Captain have the reigns over the best Damn Defensive coordinator in the land to at least lock him in at LSU? Alleva should have been fired years ago and he should be fired today immediately

Aranda has zero head coaching experience at any level. You want him to cut his teeth here?
Head coach and coordinator have completely different skill sets. Being a great coordinator doesn't always translate to the head coaching ranks.

One of the critera set by "the search" was that the coach be a successful head coach.
