re: Why is wanting better for LSU football a negative?

All of this is true. What's the problem?
I've already gone through this with other posters. I'm not going to rehash it with you.
You have posters saying that you can't tell Miles anything that he doesn't already know, and that even when he is wrong, he is still right -- essentially he can do no wrong.

quote:That is your inference. Regarding the subject of LSU football and its current coach, you are a dishonest person. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing you are a person who didn't go to LSU who is persisting in his criticism of members of its football program and its fans. If that is not the case, please forgive me for mistaking you for something you are not. If it is indeed the case, I would like to invite you to go frick yourself and know that you are not one of us.

You said they do what they do 80% of the time and asked what's Plan B. Wouldn't that be whatever they do the other 20% of the time?
Except that it didn't work and they never developed it. Hence the original point in my first post that went over your head.

Do you think they effectively developed a plan B? Do you think being that unbalanced is efficient?
Effective and efficient enough to go 8-4 against this year's schedule. No more, no less.
I take that back. It was effective and efficient enough to go 9-3 against this year's schedule, but there was a game that the guys choked away. A big game. shite.
I was asking if you thought they effectively developed a plan B. And your answer is effective enough to go 8-4. Then blamed a loss on "the guys".
quote:
Yeah, those numbers can be really annoying when they don't support your opinions.
My opinion is that the passing game wasn't very effective or efficient this season and the numbers support this. If my argument was that Miles wasn't very efficient in terms of career winning % then you would have a point.
Do us all a favor and stick to arguing with guys like Peej.

quote:It was a tough one. There were a couple players who didn't execute on some plays when they normally execute perfectly; they were costly errors. Hopefully they can bounce back next year, and hopefully their careers aren't defined by these errors--they don't deserve that.

What about people like you, though, who pretend to belong to a group that determines how happy you are as a person?

Offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin ran the running back group through several formations, some off-set I-formations and pistol looks. Fowler (45), Corey McCarron(47) and Michael Nysewander (46) were taking turns at fullback.

No. That is not my inference. That is clearly what it says.
If you think I'm misreading it -- give me your interpretation.

You don't know what my position is regarding this. I asked you earlier what opinions of mine you were talking about, and you ignored the question.
It's interesting that you say this, though. My biggest issue with Miles goes back to the end of the 2009 game vs. Ole Miss -- when he was dishonest. And that is also something that some of the Pumpers on this board don't seem to fault him for, further supporting what I said earlier.
As far as personal information goes, I don't want any from you, and you'll get none from me.

I don't even think you know what are arguing at this point. You are replying to posts about the efficiency of the offense in 2014 by posting thumbs up emoticons saying that the numbers (of Miles' career winning %) are on your side.

I know you have a thing to constantly point out the fact that you graduated from LSU. In my case my dad graduated from LSU, wife graduated from LSU, and I graduated from another instate university.
We've had season tickets for nearly 20 years, and supported the program throughout. So is it your belief that if you didn't graduate from LSU that a person doesn't have a right to an opinion on a message board about LSU?

It's not earth shattering, LSU is a pretty good university, but not the best academic unviersity in the state.

You constantly call people who share a different opinion than yours a "sidewalk" or "walmart" fan and say "you're not one of us".
I just wanted to check in, bc if people who didn't graduate from weren't included in the fanbase the stadium would be a bit more empty on Saturdays. Even the student section can't make it through an entire game.

Your wording was fine. They see LSU football through the lens of IF. That's about all you really need to know about them.

It's not earth shattering, LSU is a pretty good university, but not the best academic unviersity in the state.
quote:(It's a lie, by the way. I've never called anyone out for having a different opinion than mine. I have called people out for being eager to criticize the job performance of a man whose job performance has gleaned the most impressive tenure in the history of LSU football, all the while refusing to acknowledge and celebrate the significance of his accomplishments at LSU.)

But, if you're a guest who can't have fun watching the games without calling for members of the program to be fired (not that I am claiming that this description fits you particularly), nobody needs you or your unimportant opinions, and people like me will enjoy putting you in your place.

But, like you said, none of this is earth shattering, so none of this should bother you. Right?

Read what they wrote--that is my interpretation.
Within the context of what we're talking about -- if you can't tell X anything that they don't already know (which is ridiculous idea), and even when their decisions do not work (i.e., they're wrong), or someone else's conclusion does work (i.e., the other person is right), X is still right -- where is the room for error?
There is no room for error or additional knowledge within the framework of the discussion. That's not an interpretation, that's what the words say. It's clear. You are attempting to put your own spin on it and failing in that attempt.

I'm not your guest, and trust me I don't need your approval on any matter in regard to LSU. The checks I write yearly reserve my spot in the stadium for each home game.
I just wanted to know why you feel like the gatekeeper for all things related to LSU when you're actually just another joe who paid good money to receive a degree from LSU.
