DoIt, you are so off base it's fricking ridiculous. T-Bob has been doing an admirable job all season until crossing the path of the best dlineman in the NATION. In fact his knockdown percentage is far higher than any of our other guys.

AND, did you not see Josh D get molested by the same dlineman?! Why not throw a few jabs his way?

Unless you truly know what the frick you are talking about, keep your piehole shut. Seriously.

Charles, are the knockdowns something GAs or an asst go back and chart the day after the game? I'll hang up and listen.

position coaches review film of the game to assess performance. during this process, knockdowns are recorded when blocking grades are assigned. Noting knockdowns is not rocket science nor is there a conspiracy to make T-Bob look better than he is........i see what you are doing there.

ok. I just hate seeing some folks jump the kid when he has done waaayyyy better this year and has worked his arse off. He has been far superior to the kid who manned the position last year.....and he isn't even as physically strong/gifted as Hitt.

Besides, T-Bob's knowledge of the blocking schemes is very important.

LOL. This is crazy. If anyone knows of a place that has crazy amounts of OL that can stop NF, please do tell. T-Bob is very undersized, where were all these questions BEFORE the Auburn game? We have much BIGGER OL on the team not playing, I will admit that. He got beat quite often and played a bad game. NF has done that to EVERY team he has faced BTW.

He is playing because there is something that he shows that warrants the time more than those behind him. Why don't we just put in a bigger guy, so what if he doesn't know the blocking schemes.

Only thing is he isn't new, he was turning in these kinds of performances last year.

With T-Bob and Josh D, we are basically playing an undersized center and an out of shape TE at the guard positions.

On paper, he is built as 285lb or 295lbs. Coaches always make them bigger than what they are. He's at least 265lb-270lb-- Not SEC Size.

I don't get Les' deal favoritism of Seniors. The OL will be bigger and nastier next year..

Both Josh D and T-Bob should be on the bench. I get why T-Bob plays ( he is not bad all the time ), but Josh D was bad last year and is no better this year.

didnt read the entire thread, surely this was adressed, but when JJ was staring aimlessly at the sidelines as the clock was quickly winding down, his headiness is the only reason we arent 6-2

Absolutely, I give him credit for just snapping the ball.

And overall, he has played better than he did last year. Now, the bar wasn't set very high, but he has improved. His glaring weakness is size and strength though. And it becomes a major issue when he plays against a 300+ beast like Fairley. But you can't write it off to Fairley being a beast, because in the SEC you go up against guys like that. Last year Jerrell Powe worked T-Bob and Josh D, and they'll have to go at him again this year. Then you have Dareus at Alabama. Although a DE, he slides inside quite often. So the bottom line is, this is the caliber of good SEC defensive linemen, and our guards don't have the strength to hold up. Against average to below average D-lines like Vandy and Miss St. and Tennessee, they will hold up, but not dominate.

It isn't T-Bob's fault Mr. Wizard doesn't know what a screen pass or a chip block is.

The continual blame thrown at our players borders on hysterical at this point. I don't understand how anyone can watch our offensive scheme, playcalling, and package rotation, and still try to blame this atrocity on the players involved.

So he can save us from losing a game due to a monumental cluster against a team by snapping the ball when everyone else is disorganized and the opposing team has too many players on the field in the last second of the game.

OL is a big problem.
we've recruited 24 kids from 2006-10
only 12 still remain on the roster.
that's a 50% attrition rate.
i don't get why Josh Williford doesn't get another shot? he looked like he was holding his own.
T-Bob got pushed around in the TN game too.
isn't Chris Faulk a natural guard?
if i were LM or Studrawa, i'd switch out T-Bob and Josh D for Josh W and Faulk.
What's mind numbing is we don't do this.
Our OL depth is really thin.
