Why is Les apprehensive to hire a real OC?

Because he's an overpaid, lucky dumbass.

I don't get it. Why wouldn't he want to go out and get the best available?

Because they don't grow on trees
He did the co-coordinators until Chavis became available

He reads the rant and likes fricking with us since he's overpaid anyway.

The Gerry Dinardo syndrome "why would I want to hire someone who would come in and tell me how wrong I had been".

Miles has a bigger ego than Saban, Miles just hides behind his moronic nice guy facade.

He wants full control. He doesn't realize that he is a big failure. Former O-line coach and OC and he fails miserably

Ask jimbo fisher. Our last real OC.
Posted on 1/7/13 at 8:41 pm to Scoop
It's been 2 years for him to figure out how to fix the offense , it will take him another two
Posted on 1/7/13 at 8:43 pm to Scoop
Because if the D belongs to Chavis and the O belongs to the new OC, what's Les gonna do?

He has, twice. Both times he won the SEC and went to the national championship game. Why would you make changes after a season like that?

Miles and his crazy ego. Forcing Crowton to run the spread (his own stupid version), forcing Jimbo to run his own LSU offense, bubble screens and all, forcing Krags to impliment a vertical passing emphasis, ect ect.
You can certainly make the argument that Miles hasn't always done a good job of picking coordinators. But to imply that not making a change now is some kind of stylistic approach given the four (if you count Krags and Stud independently) totally different backgrounds of our OCs.... It's just plain ignorant of reality.
If Miles wanted a yes man that ran an offense that coincided with the Miles career coaching tree/experience, in 2005 he would have let Fisher find another job and hired a smashmouth OC. He would have never hired Crowton. And Krags and his emphasis on pocket passers, vertical passing, and play action passes with little option usage would never have been a first choice for Miles, much less a first choice for two straight years. (Before illness lead Miles to pick the best man at hand.)

I would have thought this was plain for anyone to see. Good post.
