Plays in the MNC game there has to be some kind of drama about who is getting in. Definately happy it doesn't involve us this time though.

I think it happens every year. We, as LSU fans, just scrutinize it more when LSU is in the mix.

Although there is no drama with us. We are unanimous number 1.

This year isn't even close to being the worst.

2004 ring any bells?

Media. Everything is always decided and swayed by the media. Look at Herman Cain, if the media did not bash him repeatedly and dig he would not have suspended his campaign because of all the negative coverage.

2010: TCU finished 12-0 (#3 in final BCS) and was left out of BCS NCG (Auburn vs. Oregon); TCU ended up beating the Big Ten champs in Rose Bowl

2009: Cincy finished 12-0 (#3 in final BCS); TCU finished 12-0 (#4 in final BCS); Boise St. finished 13-0 (#6 in final BCS) -- ALL were left out of BCS NCG (bama vs. texass)

2008: Boise St. finished 12-0 (#9 in final BCS) and was left out of BCS NCG (Florida vs. Oklahoma - each had one loss, as did Texas Tech, texass & USC)

I could go on...

Not really...

2010 - Auburn/Oregon - undefeated conf. Champs
2009 - Bama/Texas - undefeated conf. Champs
2008 - Florida/Oklahoma - both 1 loss conference champs
2007 - LSU gets in because OU beats Missouri, Pitt beats WVU
2006 - Florida/Ohio State - minor drama but not really because Michigan didn't deserve rematch because they lost last game
2005 - Texas/USC - undefeated conference champs
2004 - USC/OU - undefeated conference champs, auburn had no real argument based on rankings
2003 - LSU gets in because Hawaii beats some insignificant team and screws with the computers
2002 - Miami/Ohio St - undefeated conference champs
2001 - Miami/Nebraska - drama because we beat #2 tennessee in SEC champ game
2000 - OU/FSU - FSU loses early enough to regain #2 spot
1999 - FSU/VaTech - undefeated conf. Champs
1998 - FSU/Tennessee - FSU loses early, but regains # 2 after late loss by UCLA to Miami

Drama follows LSU to the BCS MNCG

2010 - why are you ignoring the TCU controversy?? They had a VERY impressive body of work and their defense (and offense) would surely have been a great match-up against Auburn or Oregon

2009 - why are you ignoring the 12-0 TCU and 13-0 Boise St. controversy??

2008 - other one-loss conference champ was USC; Boise St. was 12-0; most importantly, Utah ended that season 13-0 after thumping bama in Sugar Bowl (they also won at Michigan and beat Oregon St, TCU, and BYU)

2006 - interesting you call that "minor drama" - that was the second or third largest amount of "overnight BCS drama" when USC lost to UCLA while Florida was #4 and Michigan was #2 (the morning of the CCGs)!

and so on... you are being VERY selective in your "facts" and opinions and "evidence"
