Exactly, but you posted about the schedule, so I responded to your post. Then, suddenly my response wasn't appropriate to the subject of the thread. Weird.

And the year that Orgeron took over, WI barely beat an LSU Hobbled LF .............

They aren't as deep as you may think and also the experience is not there either.

Great example of the inconsistency in criteria used for ranking teams. I've heard people say LSU lost too many players, tough schedule, too many question marks. Yet, there are several teams (with less talent) where one or more of those same things apply, but they are ranked higher than LSU

For years LSU has been overrated in the preseason polls. Do you really think there is some anti LSU bias? They think our coach sucks. In the past they respected our coaches. There is your explanation. Hopefully Orgeron proves them wrong.

It's "pure homerism" to make a critical judgement about the accuracy and utility of preseason polls? What world do you live in?

the only polls that matters doesn’t debut until October yet people flip because LSU is “NR” or 25

Well when you start with Western ky, then new Mexico, then byu, then Nebraska, all home, and only play 2 ranked teams all year, I'd say that helps.

Actually, most can't name more than 3-4 players on the team, see that we return 10 starters, and play 4 top 10 teams plus another top 15. It's fair to wait and see. It'll take care of itself one way or another.

why do people care so much about what the "experts" think? They don't know any more than we do, and actually know less.

Yeah, that’s why they make big money doing this. Because they know less than your average fan.....

But for LSU it’s a disaster according to the experts.

A lot of teams have players that have experience to take over. LSU last season had three true freshmen who had to play on the Oline with two starting a lot of games.

They also had K'Lavon, Tyler Taylor, Grant Delpit, Greedy Williams and others on defense that had to play and start.

That's when it hurts. You have guys out of high school for a few months who are starting in the SEC. As the depth gets better replacing starters won't be as big of a deal.

Just because someone is on TV doesn't mean that they necessarily have special skills or abilities that qualify them as "experts." Some are just good at entertaining.

And fans are notoriously bad about over inflating the ability of the team they cheer for.

The point is, the pundits know as much or more than the fans.

Because LSU hasn’t had an offensive identity in almost ten years AND they’re paper inexperienced

This isn’t some big conspiracy
