They don’t have athletic scholarships, every cadet receives the same pay

There is no tuition at West Point so there aren’t any scholarships. And every cadet gets a stipend.

Yeah I just meant that it's not the reason for their large roster. They don't take people so that cadets can satisfy their athletics requirements. I went there so remember dealing with it. Even as a varsity athlete I had to do intramurals I think two semesters (it's been a while so I don't remember the exact number). I always did Team Handball which is a blast. There's a very distinct difference between the athletic department and cadets having to satisfy their athletic requirements.
