Saban is simply better. Consistent. Clemson, Bama, and Ohio State loses players to the NFL just like LSU and all three are simply reload. LSU isn't in that reloadable tier just yet.

Because Saban is Satan and he has magical powers

Seriously though, Saban is a once in a lifetime kind of coach. You can't expect that from the vast majority of coaches.

LSU lost more than any NC team in like 30 years. OSU and Clemson play in JV leagues, not comparable

If you ever see Saban he talks about the system. He and Belichick are system guys year in and year out.

They pay better so their players don’t have to rush off to the NFL

Saban is going to go down as one of the best to ever do it and he's been there a while

You do realize MB threw for 345 and 3 TDs right?

Hit on the arm...was another open TD... would be 400 yards...

Everyone should put the arrows down

We almost blew that game last year in the 2nd half too.

There's no reason he should've been hit on the arm either. If he read the game like Burrow the ball would've been in flight already. Mac Jones probably doesn't take as long to get that ball out either.

Clearly a better deeper roster. No real shocker

Burrow developed into the greatest QB at LSU ever...

Had the greatest season in all of CFB...and you people expect MB to perform like Burrow in his first start?

Lost chase...on top of it...

I see what you all see...but dang people...does it make you feel better being so negative?

They do not have a complete exodus of everyone who has the slightest chance of being drafted and do not have 3 players who just quit on the team and are sitting out a year without playing anywhere.

They replace on average of 12 starters a year.. why does it affect only LSU?

Nick Saban refuses to settle for less than the best.

When hey have a bad season (10 wins), it's an anomaly.

When LSU has a great season, it's an anomaly.

You dont have to look at anything other than the leadership to understand why.

Saban recruits at a higher level. His players rarely leave early. And he tells his coordinators what he wants.

If you notice Saban consistently has starters that are juniors and seniors every single year. Even when a bunch declare early for the draft, they still have juniors and senior starters. So they guys he has have three years in the system. His younger guys get developed because they have a lot of blowouts in conference play.
