Actually started fast vs N.Mexico b/c they went tempo and quick passes. I would like to see the same vs Tenn. If Denbrock forces the straight drop backs we could be in for a long day.

My guess is that at the start of the game with both teams fresh, we aren't winning our 1 on 1 battles or are just stalemating at most. As the game wears on, the opponent's play slips some as he wears out but our guy's play stays at the same level as the beginning of the game. So battles we weren't winning in Q1, we are dominating in Q4.

Couple that with the fact that Matt House appears to be a wizard with halftime adjustments and you have the 2022 LSU Tigers.

FSU we marched down the field and looked great but Boutte dropped a TD pass and then penalties
Back when I thought we might have a respectable offense.

Play calling has been marginal. Execution has been marginal. When those two collide, it looks like we're totally incompetent.

IMO, we should start the game in either 4 min or 2 min offense. one or two additional series won't kill the defense, those guys are looking stronger as the game goes on.

start fast to start fast.

Denbrock does the scripted plays like Ensminger did to start the games.

I don't know if its play calling or poor execution. He never looks off a defender. The play in which he threw to Williams on the left side, he followed him with his eyes from the time the ball was snapped until the ball left his hand.
Its difficult to believe, after four years, a QB Coach hasn't corrected that.
