It is still early for Etling. Brennan is still in high school. Mett dispersed the ball the least of any QB in 10+ years, including Jefferson, Jennings, and Harris. Flynn ran the ball just as much as Jefferson, Jennings, and Harris and had a lower passer rating in 2007 than Jefferson and Harris did in their sophomore years. Mauck ran the ball nearly as often as Jefferson, Jennings, and Harris.
LSU needs both Brennan and Narcisse because A) who knows what kind of staff and scheme we'll have in the next 2 years, and B) because you never know how these guys are going to progress at the collegiate level.

Just pointing out the obvious that if there's a different staff, there's a good chance one or both decommit and enroll elsewhere.
It's one of the unfortunate realities associated with coaching changes.

You misunderstood his point. People swear up and down that Jefferson and Jennings are/were dual threat QBs when the fact of the matter is that they were pro-style QBs and didn't run the ball significantly more than Matt Flynn did in 2007. It's not racism, it is just the stereotype associated with white and black QBs.

No I did not misunderstand the point. I understand the difference between DT and PP and how all of or recruits since 2003 have been classified by the recruiting services and how we use them.
The issue I had with Salmon's post was deliberate race-baiting.
Besides the way he worded it, I agree and stated for all other posters who truly are racist the fact of who are best pocket passers in recent LSU history have been.

Mauck and Flynn were great competitors and scrappy, but neither had the pocket presence of the big boys - hell, probably have to go back to Hodson and Risher to get guys in the same conversation as Russell and Davey. And before that, Jones and Tittle.

We don't need "Athletes that can run real Fast" playing the QB position. Just been there and done that. Many of you on here just don't "Get It.
Oh my goodness. We have two of them here. Semjackass first came on the radar with his we need "up North" O-linemen who were more intelligent. BRAVEHEART made the same argument and Semjackass showed up when BRAVEHEART was banned for his obvious racist rants. Chances are great that he is BRAVEHEART. Too coincidental that both wanted "up North" olineman, when LSU was starting 4 black O-lineman. And of course "up North" O-lineman were more intelligent. BRAVEHEART, like Tigrlee and now Semjackass are all Rant Hall of Fame racists. There was a something Bundy that was a Hall of Famer as well.
