By the time Narcisse arrives at LSU in January, he'll be about 6'3/235. When you see the two standing next to each other, one looks like a man and the other looks like a kid.

Some of the comments in this thread have already disproven your statement.

Apparently some of you havent learned anything from the Etling Harris situation.

One guy is bigger stronger and faster than the other guy.
Unfortunately qb is different from defensive line.

It means that he is susceptible to knee injuries. I'm not sure what studies that you have done but, we are never the same after tearing an ACL. Can you come back and be productive? Absolutely but, the chances are good that the athlete has another ACL injury.

Long and short, once your knee suffers trama there will be issues with that knee at some point. Longevity becomes an issue. Mobility becomes an issue.

The kid has had two major knee injuries in high school. The chances are greater that Brennan becomes is more productive.

Its really not that hard to see why people are excited about a pocket passer in this system who has thrown for a record yards in his state. Narcisse reminds me a lot of Deshawn Watson, and he has the potential to be a big time player, but even I as a Miles apologist can see his tendency to take duel threat guys and put them under center hasn't worked out.

I want them both, and if Miles is fired all bets are off as to who turns out to be the better player at LSU.

Given our success at putting SEC ready QB's on the field i want as many as possible.
'

Give them ALL an equal opportunity and let the one that performs the best on the field in real games be the man.

It seems to work for other teams. We should have seen DE a lot sooner. Tough to evaluate a QB until he is up against quality competition.

You obviously didn't see him last year when he returned after his injury

Same thing happened to Tyrann Matthieu and he's turned out pretty well

That means jack to me. I want the one that will produce results.

This is classic Rant. Latch on to a kid as your favorite before he ever wraps on campus and back him come hell or high water.

Brennan is an elite 11 qb 26 nfl starting QBS are elite 11 QBS most of these guys are the real deal.

Not to mention that they went head up in that competition and Brennan advanced.

Narcisse

I know a couple of people who have seen him play and they came away with the impression that he is clearly the best athlete on the field but that he does not throw a very good pass. What I don't know is if it was poor/bad mechanics, which could be corrected.

Anyway, this is a problem for another season.

That's the exact problem les miles has as recruiting "dual threat" qbs.

In HS they are the best player on the field so bs the competition they look all world.
Unfortunately for them when they get to LSU everybody on the team was that guy.... The best player on the field.
It's takes more than atheltic ability at that position..... Look no further than the guy taking the snaps now.

I say this all the time...Football IQ is as important as athleticism playing qb in college.

Why do you think Narcisse lacks football IQ? Have you ever seen him play?

You just contradicted yourself. You said "everyone", so Penrod said "not everyone", then you replied "some of the comments..."

Which is it, everyone or just some?

I think that Narcisse is the better prospect. He's bigger, stronger, and more mobile. Is it just due to his injuries,

No more dual threats!!!!!!

and the poor history with dual-threat QBs at LSU?

What the hell do you think Narcisse is?

I am sick and tired of recruiting athletes at QB. If they can't throw the damn ball let them be someone else project. Just because Prescott turned out to be a very good QB at Miss St doesn't mean he would have done it here. Probably would have never been given a chance by Miles and company.

You've never seen Narcisse throw a football so you've got no clue what he can or cannot do.

to answer the question for the OP

there are 2 main reasons why people are more excited about Brennan

#1 - He is playing and playing at a high level right now. Narcisse isn't playing due to injury. Out of site, out of mind.

#2 - The obvious...Brennan is a white pocket QB and we all know how tRant loves them some white pocket QBs.
