I know there are some on the rant who would argue that this stat doesn't matter. But why can't we even ground out with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs? Maybe i just have selective memory but this seems like a glaring issue. Can someone disprove this with stats?

Idk why anyone would think that stat doesn’t matter when it’s killing LSU every game.

And they K so much because they choke in any kind of pressure situation.

Because most of our players cannot hit.

Jay sent 4 PH to the plate tonight. They all struck out

We have hackers, not a lot of hitters.

If we cant win with the long ball, we need stellar pitching. Got a bunch of free swingers up there.

Taking too many pitches and falling behind in the count. Jay has taken our aggressiveness away at the plate

It doesn't make sense, why our batters make average pitchers look so good.

This team takes terrible at bats. These guys got to this level by being able to hit. Now none of them can hit.

I've been very disappointed at the junk pitches our dudes swing on and the terrible at bats they take.

We strike out a lot with runners in scoring position because we strike out a lot.

It seems like our players take a fast ball right down the middle on the first pitch and that's the best pitch they see the whole at bat.

It not only seems like it, it is what happens. The batting strategy is completely flawed. They have no clue how to move runners and be defensive at the plate.

Because we take 2 strikes then only have one opportunity to hit a pitch that more than likely is a ball

There is always a breeze where we are playing. Too much swinging and missing. What is our SO rate. I admit I didn't know what the roster would look like this year, but it is disappointing so far. Apparently we are in rebuilding already.

A lot of dudes that have been in these situations don’t have a ton of high pressure AB’s. It’s a young team. I think a lot of people figured this would happen early in the year, but it’s taken way longer then I thought for these guys to come around.

To me, that’s indicative of a lopsided lineup disparity.
