Pretty sure TAF is the one actually on the hook, not LSU. LSU paid approx $400k to BK.

Brian Kelly’s contract is with LSU. The contract says that if LSU terminates BK (without cause), LSU owes him the buyout amount.

My only issue is if the big time donors are having to pony up for a buyout, will they still be motivated to pony up for the eventual roster rebuild that is bound to happen. If the money is available the who gives a shite

I'm certainly not upset, but it is pretty ridiculous that someone will get paid that amount of money because they sucked at their job.
