Lee can't run it because he throws too many damn picks man.

I know what a freaking spread offense is.

Texas Tech would be a perfect example.

Not a OPTION offense, but a SPREAD offense using 3,4, or 5 receivers, throwing from a shotgun formation typically.

Padre, good thoughts--thanks for sharing--you are right--we will be back and this ranting, too will pass. Miles did not get off the Ponotoc, Mississippi bus yesterday.

basing this off of only his FR season?

I can tell you that a QB that completes 40% of his passes isnt cut out for the spread.

Or do you think that is a good thing?

simple question.

is a 40% passer suited for the spread?

Lee was at least at 54% for the season.

if you are going to say he cant run the spread after his FR because he threw picks, then you have to feel the same way about Jefferson, who completed 40% of his passes his FR year.

you don't make any sense.

one start for jefferson and he looked good.

you and your other idiot friends on this site can spin it any way you want to, but JJ played considerably well on friday afternoon.

he isn't a liability on the field like Lee is.

Things I like about Lee:
1.Strong arm

Things I like about JJ:
1. Strong arm
2. doesn't stare down receivers 100 %
3. Has mobility. He's not a statue behind the LOS
4. knows when to throw is away
5. knows when to take a sack
6. He's progressing insteading of REgressing

they both have the abillity to be great.
things I noticed were, JJ completes screen passes, JL couldn't. JL seems comfortable in the pocket, JJ never stood in the pocket. both threw the ball behind recievers and both had a lot of dropped balls. Neither were able to utilize more than 15 total plays out of the playbook wich makes it easy for opposing D's to plan for. The O-line didn't really protect either one. Experience is the only thing that will help.
Next year will be a lot better. Let's see what the off-season brings, hopefully a QB coach and a (single) DC.

All I know is that when JJ saw that he didn't have an open receiver and he took off running, it was like watching the invention of the forward pass.

My first thought was, "I didn't know LSU quarterbacks were allowed to do that."

says the guy that says Lee cant play in the spread because he throws INTS

but you think a 40% passer is suited for that offense.

And i dont make sense?

shite, you can like either one. But at least dont contradict yourself. Be consistent. Or at least look at the numbers.

I agree.

I see other QB's on top 10 teams, and say to myself:

"why isn't LSU's QB's coached like that?"

you keep bringing up one game from JJ (his first and only start), but yet you don't mention Lee's TERRIBLE SEASON?

Good job on skewing those numbers buddy

Lee has started in how many games?

and thrown how many INT's?

and how many pick six's?

are you freaking blind?

Also, Lee is not a leader, has little to no heart, and looks SCARED on the field.

You want that as a QB?

I don't.

I don't think it would be reasonable to say that he would never become a decent spread QB if it weren't for the fact that he regressed with experience. It's very much in doubt as to whether he will improve or worsen with time, keeping in mind guys like Chris Rix and Kyle Wright.

I don't think the plan is to use Jefferson as a pure spread QB either. He's got too much mobility to constrain him like that.

no more of this fake option keeper on 3rd and 12 bullshite.
