t's understandable

2-0 count with a senior all American hitter at the dish

I guess PM trusts that guy in that situation to cut on something he can drive

in a tie game, maybe

in game down 1, with 4 hits in the game. No. Its not understandable

You know I keep coming back to having the discipline as a hitter to make sure you get a pitch you can drive in that situation

I guess in overestimating these guys abilities somewhat

Has Raph tried a bunt this year? This is why it has to be in your arsenal! All the talk has been about how small ball would have to be played in this park. Down 1 with the lead off man on, there is NO option but to bunt him down...at least strike out trying!!!

while i agree with you, the 9th inning isnt a time to test that discipline. Especially down 1 and the way that game had played out.

Not thinking you do, but with no outs you got to work the count or hit and run. If you are hacking, put runner in motion IMO.

Agree. No other coach in America takes the bunt off in that situation. If it was a good idea with no count, it's still a good idea 2-0.

Bc the guy at the plate is one of the least clutch hitters on the team and he has a tendency to hit into double plays.

because its moves the fricking tying run into scoring position.
