Was a great game.
Explain the other coaches coach's coaching who coach thing, please.
I was at Rummel when we were the public school with the cross on it.
Help the dumb Rummel dude.

Gary once beat Chuck Norris in an arse-kicking contest, but Tahel dismisses it, as it was Polish rules, and not North American rules...

Tahel feels as if Gary Patterson should be coaching in the MAC.

You guys are going way too far and it's getting late.
Did he actually say MAC?
Cliff notes please?

He has more bad seasons than great seasons overall.
He has had nine 11+ win seasons in 15 years of coaching. When they went 13-0 and won the Rose Bowl, they beat #4 Wisconsin (who gave Ohio State their only loss). Clearly they were not in the best conference, but there is nothing he could do about that. Again, this is TCU we're talking about.

Ya sure he's now in a tougher conference than when he started, but it's far from the SEC or even the PAC1.
It's not the SEC, but they beat Ole Miss 42-3 in their bowl game last year.

Way to cut off important parts. I did say undefeated seasons are great didn't I? I did say he did it a couple times too. But you conveniently cut out the parts about his bad seasons? Why cant those in love with GP recognize those seasons? When I come to my opinion on GP, it's done with his entire career in mind and where it took place. But apparently judging by your condensed quote of mine, you think my opinion should only be formulated with those 2 seasons in mind. You do know he has coached much more than 2 seasons right? So I guess we should throw out a recent 4-8 season just because he happened to go undefeated. I guess he will forever be given a mulligan. Wondering how many times he'll go undefeated in the SEC?

I'd like LSU to lose 4-5 defensive starters within 4 games of the season AND lose their 2nd best player on the entire team 10 games in, AND their heisman contender level QB in games against a top 15 and top 5 opponent, and still finish 11-2. TCU came up just short against Oklahoma doing this and just beat Oregon who was up 31-0 at the half. Hasn't accomplished shite my arse. He upgraded in conference, to a power 5 conference, and 2 years after, he has one of the top 2 teams in that conference with mostly people's leftover recruits.
Y'all kill me with this shite. Give respect where it's due. He has been no higher than 5th in his own conference in recruiting until this 2016 class going 5th, 6th, 7th, and 7th from 12'-15'. So with 7th in conference ranked recruits he is getting 2nd in conference ranked results.

It's hard to give a guy credit for the conference he's in.
That's it. That's your arguement in a nutshell.
But you cannot take away what he has done. He's a great coach.
But, I wouldn't trade Miles and current staff for him. Two days ago?
Maybe...

what do accomplishments have to do with anything anyway?
bill snyder doesnt have any national titles while larry coker has 1.
so does that mean coker is the better coach?
Excellent point.
I bet this guy thinks Gene Chizik is a better HC too

My argument in a nutshell...
He's had 5 seasons as bad, or WORSE than Miles WORST season (at LSU) and all in a much easier conference than the SEC.
Plain and simple.

Cmon copy and paste a little further.
I said I wouldn't trade Miles for him.
But you are giving the man no credit.

Wrong, I said his 2 undefeated seasons are great. Unfortunately I look at the WHOLE picture when I make a decision on a topic like this.
