It still kind of surprises me how many teams cant figure out how to slow down a HUNH offense.
Sure, it's one thing if it's only a year or two old...but this kind of offense has been around for several years now. The rules in place even let you collect yourself on defense by faking an injury to get 1 guy off the field to give your defense a breather. I dont know why more teams dont do this. It's the most effective way to slow down any HUNH offense that's making your defense suck some wind and ANYONE can do that at least.
It's one thing to try and scheme against and having the proper players to stop it...but anyone can tell a guy "fall to the ground to give our defense a few minutes to get water and coaching"

All I'm seeing is people giving them credit, so I don't know where a lot of this is coming from.
I don't care if an SEC team is in the national title. I care that Ohio State isn't.
I do think a solid Auburn team is good for the SEC West. The media worships Saban and so will recruits if they keep it up. You don't want anything becoming top-heavy. And to have Auburn draw some of that attention away helps everyone, especially a rival in the same state.

A ranked team is still good, and we absolutely demolished them. They took Bama, Auburn and Mizzou to the rim. Which have a grand total of 3 losses between them. We were the ONLY team to blow out A&M or even beat them by more than a TD.

Like I said, we were like this ALL SEASON. We could suck one half (Bama 2nd half) but play well another half (Bama 1st half) even.

LSU almost lost that game. If it weren't for Jennings. LSU DOES lose that game.... For a team that is supposed to WANT to be an elite team, they should not have struggled against a TERRIBLE And I mean TERRIBLE arkie team. It is means the opposite. LSU outplayed Arkansas and won. Did Arkansas play above and beyond their ability & did LSU play like they played against their loss to Ole Miss? Of course, but they were still outplayed by evidence of the scoreboard. LSU may end up being a top 10 team with 10 wins that played the 7th hardest schedule with an immature defense. That is ELITE, you cannot convince a sane individual otherwise.

Ok. So you want to be ELITE??? WHY does this happen????? With the talent LSU has.. There is ZERO reason for them to do this...... I will remember 2011... We went into Oxford and DESTROYED an ole miss team 52-3... The talent gap was just as big this year. And Ole Miss had just come off an game against Bama, AU and T A & M. LSU should have crushed them, Plus they had half their starting D on the sideline.... ELITE teams DO NOT LOSE in a game like that.

I think you're confused. I am not condoning being a super inconsistent team this season. The coaching simply wasn't as good as it should have been.
There is zero, absolutely zero excuse to lose to Ole Miss then almost get beaten by possibly the worst SEC team in years at home.
