Why bother to have bowl games?

If the top players are going to back out (Greedy, McCaffery, LF, etc) isn't only fair the "regular" players get to make business decisions as well and protect themselves? Then we can either have a bunch of back-ups or only have the final four. This trend sucks. And stop being a bunch of lemmings and defending it. They "owe" it to their school and their teammates.

LSU could solve the problem by buying one game insurance coverage for players that were "expected" to get drafted. Schools are allowed to buy insurance for their players now.

Lol they don’t owe the school anything! These guys come to play for a championship not to play in some meaningless bowl game! If you want to sit out to make sure you don’t hurt yourself and possibly costing yourself and your family millions, I’m all for that, I don’t see anything wrong with that!

Same people who think greedy is right are the same idiots who would rag the coaches if we went to the independence bowl. If they meaningless out side the playoffs then why get mad at what bowl we go to????

Bowl eligible is huge. You get 15 extra practices If you’re not in the playoffs then you get to get your young guys work. The teams that do t can’t practice

I would get rid of non playoff games. It’s sad seeing empty stadiums in most of the matchups. Plus lots of players aren’t really motivated to show up.
May as well get rid of conference title games too but I know that won’t happen either.

So I think we are all in agreement - no more bowl games. We will have the final four and call it a year. This is just so sad. All or nothing. Players quitting. Good Lord.
