Since Bernie Moore, every coach at LSU who showed signs of consistently losing four or more games a season was canned. Why shouldn't we expect Miles to get the same treatment?

Because old douches hate change!!!!!!!!!!
they believe that LESS deserves 4 losing seasons before he's considered a bad coach, because they don't know any other way.

What really confuses me is that the Miles apologists who predicted that LSU would be 11-2 the past two years are defending the performance of a coach who has fallen five games below expectations in the last two years.

You'd think they'd be really disappointed.

There's a way to complain constructively and still sound like you support the Tigers. There's another way to complain that makes it sound like you'd rather lose games, or scare off recruits just so you can replace a coach you're unhappy with.

I really can't explain it but I agree. It the same shite as let everyone play dont keep score and everyone gets a trophy. See FLA we are in the same place do we fire our average coach and take the hit then return to being on top or do we turn into Ole Miss and just be happy with average

How many LSU coaches who have won a national championship been canned?

How many LSU coaches who have won 75% of their bowl games been canned?

How many LSU coaches that finished third in the SEC have been canned that season?

How many LSU coaches with an elite recruiting program have been canned?

Zero, none, nada!

The firing occurred in November 1999.

but we now play 12 games. Those coaches you're referencing would have only won 7 or fewer games. Miles is trending down for last 2 years, but he's not even on hot seat now.

Average of seasons' winning percentages:

McClendon's last four years: .650
Miles last two years: .654

Miles will have to pick it up to stay.

I think it's less than that if Les were fired now...up to 15 mil if he gets the rollover.

The guys making the decisions regarding Miles have more sensibilities than many posters on the rant. Just because you havent heard publicly that TAF is calling for Les's head doesn't mean those conversations aren't taking place. Behind the scenes, the power brokers are setting things up for transition if things don't change, I can assure you that.

Maybe young douches expect that every change wil be for the best.

They believe that making a coaching change every two or three years will be like gettting the latest X-Box. It doesn't matter if it works or not, just get the new toy. Since they are spoiled children the don't factor in the cost. Just make mommy and daddy pay for it.

I am assuming that you are a season ticket holder and a big TAF contributor. Or at least that's what you will tell me since I have no way of checking.

Idiots here clearly want to settle for mediocrity. They think jeremy Foley did the wrong thing in firing a winning coach named RONNIE ZOOK for only losing 4 or 5 games a year over 3 straight years! It was also clearly wrong that larry coker and phat phil were fired because they each won a NC! This Bad Cat kid is the most delusional poster i have ever seen here with no sense.

Actually phat phil and larry coker shoulda been fired way before they were allowed to drag both those programs down.

I was one of them. I thought Zook would end up being great, and I had no idea that Meyer was as great as he is. I don't think that was an idiotic stance.

They're not idiots; they're great fans. I think I just have a much better idea of what LSU needs than they do.
