When you are no longer a college student, and you have a family of your own, you will realize that grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc all have to come before the LSU football game. If LSU doesn't play on Thanksgiving night you can do both.

And for those people, you don't need to travel to this road game if it is an inconvenience to your holiday planning. There are plenty of people that won't mind going. They can go to the game, while those that choose to spend time with their families at home can do just that.

Right. We have a bye week before them and Bama. Arguably the 2 most important games on the schedule and we get a bye week against BOTH of them for the second year in a row. SEC office hates LSU!

If they game was on friday or saturday then it makes it easier on LSU fans traveling because of Thanksgiving. Its not hard to understand

Not many (2 in the last 3 years), but a lot of LSU fans do. I make all of the home games. I don't care that the SEC is not currently making LSU play home games on Thanksgiving night, because it's coming. It's going to happen.
I'm also sick of the SEC sticking it to LSU every chance they get, whether it be bowl slotting (got to protect UGA), cross divisional opponents, playing at 1:00 on Friday after Thanksgiving, now just it's just one more thing.

That was never said. The comment was that there are plenty of fans out there that would travel to the game on Thanksgiving night. There are plenty of LSU fans in Houston that wouldn't have to "travel" to the game that would be willing to go to it on Thursday night, but I guess you know better and there would be no one in purple and gold at the game.

if you're just a tv fan who doesn't show up and spend your money to tailgate and attend games then i get how you don't give a shite about a thanksgiving game.
but for those of us who do, is anyone psyched about getting your day with your family blown up for an LSU game?
the game on thanksgiving day is a sacrifice and if you disagree then sorry you don't have anything to sacrifice. prayers sent.
edit: i'm mostly talking about what will be the eventual move to a home game on thanksgiving. with it being away it mostly means that i'll never be able to travel to college station. it's the main reason i've never attended an away razorback game
