They are just mad and can't think of anything else.

Because, like every other fan base, we possess a few imbeciles within ours.

Because the conferences exist as a coalition of its member institutions in order to organize matches and set some basic rules in place. Institutions join with the assumption that their interests will be represented to the same degree as the other member institutions and that everybody will be on equal footing.
Some fans, employees and alumni of certain institutions believe that their institutions interests arent being represented fairly. There are years of evidence that seems to point to the sentiments being justified.
Conferences are fluid and dynamic. They lose members, they gain members, they dissolve, they are created. I mean, it wasn't too long ago that Missouri and A&M left their conference to come to the SEC for these very same reasons.

LSU needs the SEC more than the SEC needs LSU. Goin out on a real limb here.
Posted on 12/1/18 at 7:13 am to Kidcube1
There are like 6 of them. That’s what happens when you give those 6 a platform.

Frustration.....and Nick Saban. LSU will not leave the SEC. LSU is one of the founding members of the conference. We just need to hang in there, eventually our time will come.....again. Coach Eaux and staff are doing a great job.

Why are people talking about LSU leaving the SEC?

Because people get frustrated with getting blatantly cheated on an annual basis. People get frustrated with seeing overt bias, inexplicably bad calls, selective decisions to not review game changing plays when it favors the opponent to not do so, and I could go on.
Next question.
Next question.

Having a voice does not require using one's brain.

I'd agree that it's not a realistic option, but there's a lot of in between there from the stance of bend over and take it bc we need the conference and leave the sec.
I've never seen it outlined and I suspect no such structure even really exists, but I'd be highly interested in is seeing how the league attempted to ensure that there are checks and balances.
Many folks scoff at those suggesting inequality bc everything originates in Birmingham. What I've never seen or heard though, is a serious and legitimate rebuttal that demonstrates the existence of a system of checks and balances in those Birmingham offices.
If anyone can provide such, please do. TIA

Can't wait till we join the Big XII and see all of the "Why is a 3-loss SEC team ranked ahead of 2-loss LSU?" threads.

The only one of those that is a valid comparison is Texas and the B12, which is exactly why Texas A&M (and Mizzou) left them.
LSU would have to get a sweet deal to leave but they should openly invite suitors.
If the SEC wants to keep us then the office must be relocated to Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas or somewhere in a more neutral region. The rule must be strictly enforced that no official can officiate a game versus a school they (or their family) have an alumnus tie to.
Further, all suspensions and ejections are subject to appeal AND, each conference school should have a designated observer present at the league office at their game time to observe the review process.
The bottom line is the SEC MUST vigorously represent EACH of its members fairly and equitably, otherwise frick the SEC

I can't imagine an SEC without LSU, or vice versa.
The SEC is a cultural construct, as well as an athletic one. Its boundaries closely match that of the old Confederacy (without N. Carolina and Virginia). Even the schools on the fringes of the region, Missouri and Texas A&M, are located in parts of their respective states that were very "Southern" in their sympathies.

Gumps want it to happen. I laugh at them.

No one of importance is talking about LSU leaving the sec, just the jackwagons on this site.

Those asinine SEC chants in the ‘00s were the best thing for the SEC power brokers. They know it gives them leverage to manipulate and skew outcomes, because no school would be brave enough to pull out of such a powerful conference.
The rise of the SEC coincides with the rise of Bama. And that’s not just Bama’s influence on the conference, but very much the conference’s influence on Bama.

and nebraska.
and colorado.
and going back farther in time, Arkansas.
BigXII doesn’t share money equally.
Texas gets more than the rest plus they’re allowed their own tv network.

My god man, please go take a basic writing course before posting here. That actually was painful trying to read that mess.
