Old School - Toss up between Cannon and Jimmy Taylor (Gotta give it to Cannon as an all around player).
New School - Faulk for LSU
Alexander was a stud.

Johnny Musso, the "Italian Stallion".
The sonafabitch was awesome and damned effective in Bryant's wishbone.
I still remember the last asswhipping he put on LSU. Brad Davis was playing tailback for us then.

Our Shaun Alexander moment for Bama had to be Josh Reed..... He was awesome that day in Tuscaloosa...
Rohan Davie to Josh Reed all day.
That was brutal.

+1, especially if we count what the RB actually did during the series.

Seen them all since '69. Hands down it's Johnny Musso. Alexander had that one great game and Faulk and Hilliard were great. But none compare to what Musso did to LSU back in the day.

2. Dalton Hilliard
3. Joesph Addai
4. Rondell Mealey
5. Harvey Williams

I am too young to remember Williams, but Toefield would have to go above Mealey. Mealey was a backup his first three years then true freshman Dominick Davis was the team's best RB by the end of Mealey's senior season.

Dalton Hilliard for LSU, and for Bama, Major Ogilvie used to give us hell in late 70's.

Toefield would be #1 or 2 on my list, but he was never 100 percent and I do not recall him making a huge impression in any Bama game.
Part of the reasoning in my list was who had the best games in the series. Alexander, obviously, gets that nod.
