Lane Burroughs at La Tech. Damn good coach. Track record proves it. Supposedly a huge players coach but has old school demeanor.
Cliff Godwin at ECU has that program humming. Don’t know much else about him.
Not sure who the top pitching coaches in the country are but we should bring in someone for that post as well, or hire a HC who is currently a pitching coach.

Realistic, yes. Both have been extremely successful at their small programs. And Jewett has worked under Corbin.
Why do our fans think that we can realistically just go out and hire these big name coaches? Jewett and Riser are realistic names that have shown the ability to run a successful program and have done it with less resources and budget and talent. Bring them to lsu and with the increase in talent and resources it’s inevitable they’d be successful.

Keep PM and bring in Dale Brown and Les Miles to help and provide moral support.

there is ZERO inevitability in projecting a coaches success

Schlossnagle hasn't made a Super Regional since 2017. PM has done better than Schlossnagle over the last 4 years in a tougher conference
Big 12 isn't the SEC, but it's not exactly the Big Ten or the Southland, either.
TCU lost a lot to graduation and MLB in 2018 after its four-year run of CWS appearances. The 2018 team also lost its best player, Luken Baker, with an injury.
The 2019 team beat Vanderbilt 10-2.
But don't take my word for it. Ask any coach in the country or anybody who covers college baseball for a living what they would think of Jim Schlossnagle going to LSU, and they would agree that it would be a home run hire.
TCU doesn't have the ballpark that LSU has, nor the state school tuition nor the scholarship work-arounds that Vanderbilt has. It doesn't get the annual benefit of the doubt that LSU does when the national seedings come out.
But Schlossnagle still managed to get his team to five College World Series, even winning Super Regionals at Texas and Texas A&M.
To question his credentials is ludicrous.

There is no way you pull Andy Cannizzaro away from Holy Cross High School to be HC at LSU.
