bullshite arse excuse made by Orgeron apologist. LSU should never, I repeat NEVER have an offense as terrible as this one has been. I don't care about injuries, people leaving early, or whatever. LSU should always, on just talent alone, outrank half the nation in offense.

There is no excuse, no matter how much you try to make one up.

You are exactly right until you prefer one moronic view over another. I don't care whether I was right about the hire or wrong as long as we fix the problems we've had for way too many years. Aside from talent level because that changes year to year bc of the draft and incoming but from a system stand point we have relied on our defense to be excellent for too many years to not have fixed the offense. We are the exact opposite of absolute best ever "insert Big 10 name here" yet because we play in the SEC are not considered a joke somehow. That is changing and if we do not fix our offensive problems we will one day not have an excellent defense and that will be catastrophic for all LSU fans. I don't care how or who fixes it, as long as it gets fixed fast. Like next year must have drastic improvement. Now if you're one of those fans that refuses to see anything broken other than the lack of experience then honestly you don't want to be great.

Spot on post right there.

Rewatch the Rice game. You can see some of what they want to do.

Please. Rice is absolute garbage. They could have done literally anything they wanted against Rice and it would have worked

I'll repeat it again for slow people like you. If you look at Rice, you can see what they'd like to do. Rice was a glorified practice and you can tell that they're progressing.

I don't know what you're problem is and I don't care. If you want to be an arse that's on you and I wasn't giving you anything I was responding to another poster. You can choose to be shortsighted I'll take the long view.

This board was full on split.

Half of us felt LSU could win 10 regular season games.

The anti-O faction were certain LSU was a 6 win team and would finish 5th or 6th in the SECW.

2019 looks to be favorable for LSU. And to finish this season with 10 or 11 wins would be a great way to enter next year!

Of course those who had LSU only winning 6 games, will dance with joy if LSU finishes with 9 wins.

However, the offense being ranked near the bottom of all statistical categories in the SEC and nation is a concern.

We all agree and have a want for the offense to score 30+ regularly with 300+ passing yards and 100+ rushing yards per game. No one is saying otherwise.

Where I differ from some here:

Had Canada stayed, his O would have been dissected with enough video from last season to shut it down. IMHO, If Canada was the OC this year, LSU would be 1- without transfer Joe Burrow and 2- more resembling the preseason prediction team of 6-7 wins.

Ensminger is not the long term answer, BUT with a healthy OL and the D, his offense wins games.

I've been giving Orgeron his credit every step of the way, but not because it's better than 6 or 7 wins. He gets credit for being a damn strong team. I

I give Coach O credit for going 100% all in. He made the necessary moves in the offseason that needed addressing. He didn’t coach scared. He coached like a man who knows it’s today not tomorrow. He can’t be blamed for the OL injuries. BUT this offseason he has to build the OL up. And he has to keep looking for an OC with a modern offensive game plan and he can get along with (he doesn’t have to hire one right away, just keep looking as long as the OL gets fixed).

I predicted 10-2. That was a fair expectation given the talent and schedule. we need to elevate the program beyond that though

A poster here with a connection to the program said that he has somebody in mind. That being said I would be comfortable with Steve for one more year if O had to wait for the right one.

We would definitely need some improvement. I think with the incoming freshman RBs and Burrows experience the offense will be better regardless of who the OC will be.

But Ensminger will have to produce this weekend and during the bowl to instill confidence in the base.

I agree. I predicted 9-3 floor, 10-2 ceiling. The talent, particularly on defense was there. Offense was unknown.

I thought that the Georgia game and the bama game were likely losses. I also thought that the offense would be better than what we've seen. I actually thought that LSU had a shot at running the table. So much for my predictions.
