True story on Cantrell from a friend who is a retired EBR Sheriff's deputy. He was working the the main bar area back then, out of the substation down the street. One nite they got a call that Cantrell was going nuts in the old Bengal & it was a "all officers respond" call. My friend said 6 deputies showed up & found Cantrell pounding on a pinball machine ( they paid off back then ) & cursing like a sailor. They formed a semi circle round the machine & were advancing slowly & very carefully, as they all knew his reputation. They were 5-6 feet away when Cantrell bent over, lifted the machine up off the floor & tossed it at the 2 closest deputies. As they scattered, Cantrell bull rushed 3 others, ran right over them, & headed out the door. They never found him that night. My friend said more than a few deputies, when they got a call on Cantrell, went in the other direction. He wins this contest handsdown. No contest.

Art Cantrell's wife was an American History student teacher at Broadmoor High when I was there in 1971. I would just sit there, look at her, and drool. I still don't know how I passed that class
. The man had good taste in women

Who was the dude that beat the shite out of the Tulane players on the field at the end of that game in the 80's? Was that Rehage? I should know, I was there at the time but my memory is fuzzy. That's who I would vote for.

That fight started when a Green Weenie cheerleader took a swing at Eric Martin. Juan Betanzos was the only LSU player who stayed on the bench.

Yeah but someone was leading the charge, just can't think of who it was.

I think it was Rehage, I was at that game with my older sister who was a student at the time. The player you're talking about was definately kicking azz. We were still watching the fight on the monitors as we were leaving tiger stadium. Game cancelled with a few minutes left because the fight was so massive.
