I tried finding this but the crawl at the bottom of the screen after the game said that this was the first time LSU lost 5 consecutive games since they lost 11 in a row from 1971-1981.

Cholly Mac right?

Probably so, and was against Bear Bryant, considered by many to be the best college football coach ever.

You can't say Curley Hallman or Gerry DiNardo.

Or Mike Archer.

Five in a row to a team that consistently has the #1 recruiting class and Nick Saban as a coach. Unforgivable! Fire Miles!

You think the Gumps were yelling "Fire Saban" after he lost his second in a row to Ole Miss this year?

Nick Saban will be at Bama for at least 10 more years, so there's that.

Saban will probably have already worked himself into the grave 10 years from now

Before Miles, no coach has stayed for more than 5 seasons since Mac.

Since the Dietzel era:

Dietzel was 2-0 against Bama

Mac was 2-14

Stovall was 1-3

Arns was 2-0-1

Archer was 1-3

Curly was 1-4

Dinardo was 1-4

Saban was 4-1

Miles is 5-7

So - to put it another way - no LSU coach (in the history of the program) has beaten Alabama 5 times, other than Miles. LSU is 25-50-5 against Alabama in history - Miles accounts for 20% of those wins and only 14% of those losses.
