The Buckeyes learned under Tressel that the way to make the playoffs is to play non-league cupcakes, win the league, and win the league championship game.
Bama and Clemson picked up on this.
Think about it, was the risk of playing TX (who I think was better early) this year and Miami last year worth it?
We could have lost either (especially TX) and for what?

I absolutely agree that LSU should be at the top of every poll. All bias aside we have the best resume by far, the frontrunner for Heisman at QB, and one of the best coaching staffs in the country. At the same time where we rank after they release the first CFP rankings means nothing if we do not take care of business this week and the weeks after. In the words of Al Davis, "Just win baby!"
