I don't think Randle will be the most productive player on the field but I think he may be the best player on the field.

Not one person selected an interior lineman on either side of the ball (except for the sarcastic T-Bob post). And the only DE picked is a kid who didn't play in November or December and had his knee wrecked.

That's something to pause about. Because championships are won on defense and in the trenches. I'm excited for 2011 but if we don't dominate both sides of the line of scrimmage, it won't be as glorious as we are all hoping. No matter how good Tyran, Claiborne, Baker, Montgomery, Randle, Shep, Ware, Ford or Mettenberger are.

Sorry gentlemen, but I had a vision.

Stone me if you will but

Micheal Brockers and Anthony Johnson will co-star the defense

w/ a long shot special coming through- Tharold Simon.
Offense- Spencer Ware - Ford will be our play-maker having the longer touchdown runs; but Les's history suggest that he favors the smasher-types ((Hester,Scott, Ridley))
Rueben Randle might steal the the honor once we are in the midst of the SEC schedule and start to vary from our previous tendencies; but our game-plan vs. Oregon and West Virginia has to be the plan that entails steam-rolling their defense and smashing the ball up the middle for touchdowns.

What in the hell has Shep done to make you people think he's the most talented? He hasn't shown me shite.

Averages over 7 yards per touch. It isn't his fault he hasn't "shown your ignorant arse" anything. He isn't being used correctly/enough.

This was not sarcastic, I think he will have a break out year. Not many play with his passion!

FYI NFLDraftScout has T-Bob the #8 Center for the '12 draft. they must just directly take high school rankings and use that for their pro projections a yr in advance

if we can get great play out of the freak, we got a really good shot.

if we can get a double on the inside and free up our de's, it's gonna be another great defense.

michael ford, might just steal the show on offense.

that's the best thing about year to year. you can never predict.

T-Bob was removed from the Alabama game at a certain point in the 1st half. The improvement of our offensive line in terms of their overall play & their execution is phenomenal.

Also, by extension, look at Jordan from that point forward. He plays with far more confidence. IE-he trusted the pocket.

Jefferson is not a good, SEC-caliber QB in my opinion, but he didn't trust the pocket because the LSU Staff would rather play a player with a combination of tenure, an acute knowledge of the assignments on the interior line, and an equally acute lack of ability to use the experience & knowledge to overcome his absolute inability to get a push on the inside.

280 pound Guards who aren't physical at the point of attack are going to destroy your interior run game. They're going to cede pressure up the middle and make the passing game look worse than it is.

T-Bob Hebert is a huge negative for the Offensive Line. He plays because he knows the checks, calls, & responsibilities on the interior. They trust him to know what to do.

In my opinion, I would've taken my lumps with Blackwell & Lonergan in 2009, & with Williford in 2010 at RG. Mental lapses in terms of knowledge of scheme will be reduced with reps, & especially game reps.

There is no cure for not being able to physically play the game as your position, team & your level of competition demands it.

Oh, & by the way...Look how much Jordan trusted his pocket against A&M. Look who wasn't on the field for the majority of meaningful drives. Jordan trusted the pocket, & stepped up again & again.

Hebert is a waste. Only extreme injury situations should result in him ever seeing the field again.

It's harsh, but its honest. He will be MAULED in the NFL, if he ever gets a shot.
