Donnie Jones is the easy answer & Brad Wing isn’t really even in the discussion.

Maybe y'all could consider Wing if he didn't "opt-out" for the NFL just to go undrafted

In terms of what they did while at LsU. Brad Wing’s 2011 season was the best I have ever seen.

I don't see how it isn't Donnie Jones, but Chad Kessler was great as well.

This is a hard choice, if you’re talking about just at LSU, I’ll go with Brad Wing. If you’re including the pros, nobody touches Donnie Jones.

Donnie Jones was a 4-year player. Yes Wing was an All-American, but so was ZVR (although only Athletic). Frankly, ZVR has a better argument for GOAT punter than Wing and is arguably as good as/better than Jones or Kessler.

I’m pretty sure he was the first player in college football to be called for this cause it was a new rule!

Brad Wing. He had golf clubs for a kicking foot. I watched him warm up one time from the SEZ bleachers. I was amazed at how he could curve the ball on kick and drop it over and over in the sideline hash marks. Then he would drop it inside the 5 with the pointy end kick.

That's the Aussie Rules skills in him. Australians are dominating the punting ranks of NCAA and NFL now for a reason.

If it is close, my vote goes to Brad Wing on the strength of the fake punt against Florida which got called back for his taunting the athletes who couldn't catch him.

I agree with this because ZVR was tasked with kicking a million more pooch punts than the others.

His average suffered from those pooch punts and I can't find any stat that shows his average when he TRIED to punt the ball as far as possible.

ZVR could punt the ball about 30 yards to the 2 yard line almost every frickin time. His ability to pin opponents directly affected our record in 2018 and 2020.

We know. We’ve had 3 Aussie punters.
