TM is the best football player. He might not be the best "corner" on the team but he's the best football player.

That being said I cannot disagree with Mingo. He's a beast, but so are our tackles and Montgomery.
M&M Mingo and Montgomery. Aaron Murray will be feasting on M&M's this coming weekend, & he doesn't even like them.

Brockers. LSU's success is predicated on controlling the line of scrimmage, and Brockers has been a rock all year.

I believe we have the best collective offensive line in college football. I believe we have the best rush defensive end(mingo), best nickel corners (brooks and mathieu), best number one receiver(randle),best cover corner (claiborne) and the best punter in the country!
It's amazing how good we are top to bottom.

cannot point to one, honestly. So many different players have made clutch plays, while others have been the unsung heroes that it would be an insult to name one.
This is probably the best TEAM I have seen wear the white, purple, and gold.

In order...
1. Mo
2. Randle
3. TM7
4. Big Sam
5. Keke Mingo
6. Reid
7. Ford/Hilliard
Something like that.
Also, B. Taylor has been lights out this year and is a TFL machine.

what about chris faulk -- held top flight d ends in check all year, clement (headiest player on offense non-qb --called for wing fake punt in florida game). alleman -- 98 % extra point percentage, only missed 2 field goals all year!!
hell even minter, although not our best player, has played above and beyond what i expected this year

Randle
Claiborne
Mathieu
Definitely the top 3, though not necessarily in that order

I like Randle as much as anybody, but the WR pecking order in college football is...
1. Justin Blackmon (OK St.)
2. Robert Woods (USC)
3. Everybody else.

Hatcher anyone?....anyone?

Randle would put up numbers like them if he played for those teams
I think people horribly underrate him, as crazy as that may sound

put randle in either of those players positions with a pass happy offense and he will equal or surpass their outcome. He's bigger, more elusive, stronger, a better blocker, and better athlete than both those guys. He has caught almost 1,000 yards and 8 TD's in a run first offense.

This. Honorable mention Brandon Taylor, Mingo,Wing.

From the outside looking in, most "experts/analysts" would say Mo Claiborne or Tyrann Mathieu.
And since it is our best position group, I would have to go with someone in the secondary at the end of the day- throw in Eric Reid and Brandon Taylor with the two corners.
The best OFFENSIVE player this year is almost easily Reuben(sp?) Randle. Other than Spencer Ware I think he's been the most consistent offensive threat LSU has used.
...but why not give it to Jarrett Lee/Jordan Jefferson, since they both have been much maligned and both have shown their resiliency by BOTH helping lead LSU to a 12-0 season despite the issues they've faced in the past and this current season?

Brockers and Logan should be mentioned also
DT was a concern heading into the season and these animals have held it down no problem

simon
taylor
ware
obj
