Sounds like the rotation is Mett, Rettig, Jennings then Rivers.

we will see Jennings as a change of pace/situational QB. Jennings will see more snaps as the mobile/option QB

Oh boy, here we go again with the "Change of Pace-Situational-Mobile-Option QB" nonsense.

In other words, let's stop running our regular offense and automatically "Telegraph" to the defense exactly what's coming up with the COPSMOQB in the game. This doesn't work with any consistency unless the COPSMOQB is even half way competent in the passing game a la Manziel.

I'd think that Cam Cameron knows if the JennSwag skill set is OK to go or not and hope that he doesn't allow Miles to force the COPMOQB into a game unless he thinks it will truly benefit the offense. I trust his judgement over a few message board fart knockers that for some reason are obsessed with LSU having an athletic, dual threat QB.

Why and where this obsession comes from?

so i heard ohio state's band play the neck at the tourney the other day. think any recruits noticed?

Oh yeah...they probably have all decided to go to Ohio State now because their band plays some crappy SWAC song. They always choose their school by the band's song list.

For arguments sake I'm going with HRettig.

It's as good guess as any already made in thus thread.
Bc that's all any answer is ... A guess.

Its not like rivers is some veteran. I don't think he's even attempted a pass in a collegiate game.

Yes he has .. Last year it was a night game .. Filled in for mett for a few snaps and threw a bullet completion to the right side.

Guess the LSU stats guy missed that one...

LSUsports.net has him playing in 4 games and 0-2 last season.

H.Palmer said that Rivers still looks very inconsistent with his throws.

I'd still like to see him get some PT against schools like Kent state, uab and furman this year.

I don't think the idea of rushing AJ into playing his freshman year is a good one. It reminds me of the Shockley/Greene experiment at UGA a few years back.

Finally, I think Rettig receives a redshirt this year.

He'll be number two. He needs some game experience.

Exactly, I'd like to see him in actual games and not have to depend on what the guys from BBI say about him

Also, Bolden is under going surgery this spring.

Rivers needs confidence and some people don't get it until their feet are to the fire. I wouldn't mind seeing the two frosh take a RS.

I'm really excited as to what Coach Cam can do with Rettig. This guy could be the real deal, having CCC's tutelage for his entire college career.

I'm sorry, after JJ, I only want to see traditional pocket passers for a long, long time. Thanks but no thanks Jennswag

Why do you just want traditional pocket qbs? The college/pro game has evolved pass the idea that only pocket qbs can have success.

Also, people in this site need drop the idea of comparing AJ and JJ. It's beyond simple minded.

I have a feeling we will have a two QB system with those two and it doesn't have to be a bad thing.

I don't see a two qb system with Jennings and Rettig. If anything I see another Russell/Flynn situation on the horizon. That's if Rettig gets the RS.
