Football is in a better position to have the better season. More talent and experience comparatively. Wade is obviously a better coach comparatively. But football only has to deal with about 2-3 blue bloods with marginally more talent than them. Basketball has to deal with about 8-10. So ill go football

Football has the better season, because a bad day of football beats the best day of basketball.

All depends on your definition of "better".
Football last year finished with a higher ranking; but the season was torpedoed with a couple of losses, and the bowl game was just an exhibition. Basketball won the conference regular season title, and there was hope of more all the way until we lost to Michigan State.
If football can remain relevant into the postseason, that would be incredible.
