Uhh wouldnt that give Ark 2 losses?

my point is that if Arky beats Auby, Arly is still likely to lose before we play them, meaning we wont have a chance to knock off an undefeated top team. I dont know about you, but i dont like sloppy seconds.

Put differently, we want to be someone's only loss. Too late for Bama. Too late for Florida, and probably wont happen for Arkansas.

that leaves Auby

This is what voters remember, which is 2/3 of the BCS.

you honestly think voters remember that you didn't beat any undefeated teams at the time you played them? Really? Are you that dense?

Dense? no. Just because someone doesnt agree with you doesnt make them dense. It does make you look like a douche though.

The point is the difference in the boost in the human polls we'd get (and need) from beating a top updefeated team, versus beating a one loss 17th ranked team.

If you dont understand that difference... im sorry for ya.

Reality is that LSU is not going undefeated and could very well lose to AU.

Ark winning gives LSU the best chance to make it to the SECCG. Ark still has to play USC which could give them 2 losses. AU still has to play Bama which could give them 2 losses (if we beat them) LSU could then lose 1 SEC game and still make it to the SECCG as long as it wasnt a loss to BAMA and BAMA was undefeated.

Best Case is LSU wins out and it doesnt matter

Next best case LSU loses 1 game

AU loses to Ark and LSU and beats BAMA

Ark beats AU and loses to USC

That would leave

AU with 2 losses
Bama with 2-3 losses
Ark with 2-3 losses

The 3 loss team depends on who LSU loses its game to.

If AU wins then the LSU/AU game is very important to LSU. If Ark wins then it doesnt really matter who we lose to unless it BAMA and Bama wins out.

1. It would be pretty epic to have a 7-0 v. 7-0 match up

2. Could win the west before we even have to play Arky

This...

Because if were undefeated, losing to ARky wont matter were still going into atlanta with one loss and they wont keep a 1 loss SEC champ out of the BCS title game...at least history says no....

Oregon, Ohio state are gonna lose at some point...
Boise wont
Nebraska, we'll see after this weekend...
I actually think Nebraska may get there...
Miles vs Pelini...wow...

Doesnt really matter who wins - we benefit either way.

Ark wins - we move up in the rankings over Aub, Ark moves up and then we move up that much more when we beat them

Aub wins - they move up and then we move more when we beat them.

Either way - LSU benefits.

However I would like to see Arkansas win so that there's a possibility that CBS will pick Arkansas/S. Carolina for their 2:30 game instead of LSU/Bama.

Good point right there. Regardless of who I pull for, Arkansas is going to win this game.

Here's why this game is win-win in my professional opinion

AUBURN WINS
-we ultimately want auburn to be undefeated when we play, to boost our win

-with arky losing it depleted Bamas win
, even if just a slight bit

-every west team will have a loss except for lsu
ARKANSAS WINS
-gives us more room to win the west, after all, we always want the west teams to lose (arky already has 1 loss) That way with 1 loss we will have a greater chance go to the seccg

-frankly I'm tired or people riding auburns dick and not respecting lsu (mostly on the sec rant)

If we get our 1 loss late, say to Ark, we're hosed. A win in the SECCG over a weak east div champ wont give us enough time to climb back up in the polls without a TON of help.

Its debatable that even should we lose to Bama (late in the season), we still may not have enough time to climb back, particularly if there's more than 1 unbeaten in the BCS.

I believe the only way a 1 loss SEC champ gets to the BCS is if its Bama, due to their high position with 1 loss. They are ahead of a several undetfeated's. If we lose 1, we wont be.. unless we lose to Auburn, there might be a chance to sneak back up without a ton of help.

timing is key if we lose.

I am pulling for auburn. Win or loose auburn still controls it's destiny while we play them. With another loss ark does not control its destiny any more. I do not care about anything other than our chances of reaching the sec championship game at this point.

Arky because we need some margin for error. I understand that people want AU ranked higher when we play them, but i still believe that if we lose 0-1 games through the regular season, we will play in the SECCG with a chance to go to the NC. The SEC has proved over the past 4 years that a 1 loss SEC team deserves to get in over anybody else. AU w/ 1 loss or 0 losses when we play them doesnt matter in terms of polls. It does matter it terms of contorlling the West. Go hogs this weekend.

Ewdij, if you want the best option to reach atlanta cheer for Arkansas. If we somehow lose to AU our destiny is over

Every one in their right mind should pull for AU to lose

My logic is pull for Auburn

Wrong - Arkansas - we play both, so we lose head-to-head to both, but if we all have one loss there are other tiebreakers - at this point, we want as many losses at the top of the SEC-W that we can get, so we back lower versus higher in nearly every case.

LSU and OU have proven that its a myth that a late season loss hurts you.

Who do you want to lose to based on your argument?

If we lose to Bama and then Bama beats AU then Bama goes to the SECCG

If we lose to AU then we beat bama and run the table and AU beats bama, AU goes to the SECCG

If we only lose to Ark then we are already in the SECCG.

Making it to the SECCG is much more important than worrying about what the voters think.

Ark beating AU gives us the best odd and most outs possible to make it to the SECCG. We dont want ANY SEC West team besides us with less than 2 losses.
