I think he will be one of the top freshman this year and will play some edge like Perkins did last year. He is way better than West, who will probably always be just a quality backup, depth player. Other than him, let’s predict, who is y’all top freshman and transfer this season?

I MUST SAY THAT IS 39 impressive players!

Mine is Whit Weeks and Aaron Anderson with Heard and Jordan Jefferson my next two.

1.) Heard
2.) Womack
3.) Howard
4.) Brown
5.) Whit
6.)Kaleb Jackson
7.) Holly
8.)Brathwaite
9.)Chester
10.)Toviano
11.)Pimpton
12.)Sampson
13.)Kylin Jackson
14.)Collins
15.)Yates
16.) Stamps
17.)Adams
18)Markway
19)McGowAn
20.) Prean
21.) Parker
22.)Mubenga
23.) Carpenter
24.) Hughes
25.) Gilbreath
Transfers
26.) Sams
27.) Denver
28.) Duce
29.) JK
30.) Zy
31.)JJefferson
32.) Paris
33.) Lee
34.)Diggs
35.) Speights
36.) Lungsford
37.) Ovie
38.) Swinson
39.) Aaron Anderson

It’s Kaleb Jackson then everyone else. By week three or four, he’ll be the main back in LSU’s offense.

Not that Kaleb Jackson isn’t talented, but I think his two touchdowns, particularly the screen pass, was a result of poor tackling.

I don’t think one back will really separate himself, especially by week 3 or 4, but I think your main guys are Diggs and Cain.

Most people agree with this particularly because those runs were against the #2 or #3 defense in one scrimmage but the guy you're replying to doesn't consider those little tidbits.

I think he's a very gifted player and LSU is lucky to have him but to say it's him and everyone else and then to double down on his horrible take and say he's "going to be the main back by the third week" is going way overboard but that's par for the course with that guy.

What the hell are all the damn down votes for, can’t list the newcomers, hell is wrong with some of yall? People just seem to want to talk about Denver’s and Maason’s of the world. I really believe those 39 guys new to team are the beginning of something special. I know our interior dline recruiting has been not so good, but CBK brought in 2 studs in JJ and Shand along with Lee that will provide great depth this season. With NIL, we need to continue hitting that portal hard. I watched Paris Shand’s film earlier and man he may be all conference this year coming from a pathetic Arizona team

Glad to see you decided to start spelling his name correctly. The warning you got from admins must have put some fear into you. You didn't even start another dumb thread yesterday. It was very nice.

Dear god I hope not - give me Williams as the horse and Emery/Goodwin/Jackson as gamebreakers.

ETA Forgot about Holly that position is loaded. And somehow you picked the two least exciting guys in Cain/Diggs.

No one wants to predict from a list of damn near half the team, man I didn’t realize it was actually 40 players if I would of counted Dougherty, who left

Heard and Toviano are two that I think see the most playing time. Womack will get plenty of reps but I don't see him becoming a starter this year.

I think Weeks will be the 2nd team WLB by the halfway point of the season behind Speights.

He has the potential to be an Isaiah Simmons (Clemson) type player for LSU. I'm saying this because of his cover skills and knack for being in the right place at the right time.

If one of the freshman rbs gets significant playing time it'll be Holly.

I agree with you about Whit. He looked great in spring and is faster and more athletic than his brother. Coach Kelly mentioned him when talking about needing to identify the players they can count on.

Y’all need to slow your roll on Kaleb Jackson. He’s had at least two fumbles and was responsible for a pick so far in camp. Ball security is job security and he still needs to work on his. This is the first time he’s played in a year and he was raw before then. Give him some time to get his feet under him.

Bengal Ben, I agree and think he will end up playing a Perkins role this year. It still pisses me off that Tackett Curtis went to USC, I read he is already starting ML and had best camp of anyone, him and Whit would of been a hell of a duo. Maybe help get home sick, lol

I couldn’t agree more, I think Diggs will end up lead back with Emery as the receiving backs with Josh Williams and Goodwin being sprinkled in and Cain for goaline. There is no way 8 running backs will play this year unless the injury bug strikes. I think Kaleb and Holly redshirt

Whit’s HS video is one of my all time favorites. He’s just that guy- a true instinctive football player. I hope he gets on the field this year.

Lunsford's brother is also on the team.. so that makes 2 sets of brothers on the squad.
