Regardless of the football, LSU games as an experience are far more fun than Saints games. Outdoor stadium, serious tailgating, prettier location, real bands and cheerleaders, all add up. You don't get that at the Dome.

The NFL is lame. I would rather watch Boise State vs. Washington than the Saints.

Agreed, however I do respect the fact that other people have different tastes. IF they would prefer watching the Saints and Dolphins over LSU and Georgia, I wouldn't say they lack knowledge of football. I would simply accept the fact they have different interests than mine. In general, I prefer college football over NFL football. However, I'd pick the Saints and Bucs over most of the college games that are being played this weekend.

Obviously not. As you say, it's a question of taste.

it doesnt have anything to do with troy...its the fact that if lsu is playing im gunna be watching no matter what else is on!

You are obviously not a (true) Saints fan. Anyone who is a TRUE fan of both and had to choose one of THESE 2 games then obviously the Saints vs. Tampa Bay game is it. Troy is a weak out of conference opponent while Tampa Bay is a divisional rival.

Please do not take this as me saying I prefer the Saints over LSU. I am simply choosing between the matchups. If the choice was between the Saints-Dolphins or LSU-Georgia then I would take LSU.

Not necessarily true. Both great in their own way. Each has great things to offer the others don't. And they should be treated as separate but equally entertaining IMO. I had always dreamed of the Saints playing at Tiger Stadium and when it finally happened it turned out to be the biggest nightmare (for various reasons).

Simply ridiculous. I guess it's not possible to be a bigger LSU fan than Saints fan? This is laughable, I'd rather spend my weekend planned around an LSU game than half a day around the Saints game. I have a damn impressive streak going at Tiger Stadium, and it's laughable to say I'm not a "true" Saints fan if I were to opt for the LSU game. I attend several Saints games per year, watch them religiously, etc. There are more die-hard Saints fans out there than me, but then again I'm more diehard than a lot of LSU fans out there. It's a preference, and I'd rather spend a Saturday night in Tiger Stadium considering those opportunities have shrunk over the years. I grew up both an LSU fan and Saints fan, just have a lot stronger personal ties to LSU. I'm willing to bet there are quite a few people on this site that have never been to an LSU game in Tiger Stadium, but I'm not going to claim that they aren't "true" LSU fans.

I would moslty like to see the Tigers get some more gametime, quarterback practice before we play Auburn, but I'll have to settle for my Bucs spanking that Saint arse! Also, I agree with one of the earlier posters, the atmosphere at an outdoor stadium is so much better than in the Dome. That's why the Rays have such poor attendance--domes=boring games!

Pardon my lack of preciceness. When I said TRUE Saints AND LSU I meant that you adore them both to the maximum possible which is to say EQUALLY. Which I do. So that being the case then in this particular case the Saints is the only choice. Of course if you like LSU more and would prefer to watch them play against William & Mary then obviously that is your perogative. I'm just not so sure that you would be as much of a Saints fan as you think you are.

Again, the whole crux of my arguement (and I think the question) is if you love both teams equally. If not then there is really no purpose to the question, IMO. You are gonna to choose the team you love more.

I'm a Saints fan, and I pick and choose a couple of games to attend each year that don't interfere with LSU football. I also work full-time, go to school, etc so I don't have time ot drive to New Orleans for every home game. Not to mention it's pretty tough after tailgating 8 hours the day before and getting home in the wee hours of the night. I guess I don't like them both to the "maximum possible", because LSU will always be above any other sports team. I follow and devote money and time to the Saints, just not as much as some other people. In fact, I'm currently looking into the possibility of going to the game Sunday since it would be a great opportunity.

If that makes me less of a Saints fan, than so be it.

No need to diminish your love of the Saints, let's just say that it makes you more of a Tigers Fan. I hear you on how hard it is to get motivated on Sundays on a double game weekend. I have been to more than one Saints game without sleeping after the Tigers game. The older I get the tougher it gets.

No doubt, I might make my way down to the Dome this weekend.

There are probably 15-20 college football games I would watch before the Saints and that number isn't higher because Reggie Bush is my back up running back on my fantasy team.

The only acceptable answer is you cut head in half or pluck out an eyeball and have two tv's going.

my answer is pretty simple...the saints are my favorite nfl team and always have been but it isnt even close to comparing them to the love and devotion i have for the tigers...now to say i am not a true saints fan is crazy!
