The last Twelve years have been the Golden age of the SEC. It will never be any better, and never was any better. Even if you capped Bamas NC run at two NC's, the SEC is still dominating CFB.

Let's get down to the only thing that matters in your whole argument....
The SEC WEST
By absolutely any measure, has been tougher and better in the Miles era than it was in Sabans era. That, coupled with the fact that Florida had a better run beginning in 2005 than they did from '00 - '04, makes Miles competition tougher than Sabans.

If this whole thing was an argument that Saban is a better coach than Miles, then I'd say "no shite".... but your argument is complete bullshite

Floridas run started in 06 and ended in 08 lol. You ppl are either too young to remember or you're just miles lovers and refuse to admit the truth. And if the only thing that matters is the sec west, which is not at all what the debate was about, why are you bringing Florida into the equation.

And btw the secs "golden age" which I couldn't help but notice you said was the past 12 years lol (exactly miles tenure) had a total of 4 sec teams winning national titles. The 90's saw 3 sec teams win a national title plus one undefeated team that was on probation. So you see the 90's were just as successful the sec has always been the best conf in college football it didn't become the best conf just because you started paying attention to it.

The SEC leads the country in NFL draft picks for last TEN years.

Seems like a decent factoid

That doesn't excuse the fact that your idol was a horrible coach.

What? At OSU miles inherited a team that was 3-8 and 1-7 in the big 12.

quote:
. I recall Miles inheriting an offense at OSU with some highly productive players--QB, WRs, RB

Miles inherited a qb with 1500 yards passing 6tds -11 ints.
He inherited a 1000 yard rusher but his best returning wr had 350 yards receiving.

I didn't write they put up extraordinary numbers in 2000, I wrote they were highly productive players as freshmen, and all 3 were freshman in 2000. Rashaun Woods, 4,414 career receiving yards, became 1st round draft pick. Tatum Bell,3,667 career rushing yards, became second round draft pick. Pogi had a much better year in 2001 as a sophomore until injured late in the year and Josh Fields took over. Now who was the reason Fields signed at OSU, Miles or Gundy? It might be reasonable to infer that Miles was very fortunate Gundy agreed to become OC when he came in 2nd for the HC job.
