Did you create this account just to try to justify this word?

If someone is creating an account just to post that "grill nutt" is a real thing, I think that tells you something as to the validity and veracity of the word. You all can say you were a part of the inception of "grill nutt."

Agreed - though I believe we all have digressed. The point of the thread (correct me if I'm wrong) it to identify most volumous grill nutt loaders in Tiger history.

Lange gave the new meaning last year with his spike curve grill nutt

Nola delivered the grill nutt to SEC foes when we had nothing but bums

Classic Tigers like Brad Hawpe spewed grill nutt all over Nicholson Drive

"Grill Nutt," whatever the meaning, has existed since the first time anyone uttered the two words sequentially. The fact that we're debating the existence of this "grill nutt" only validates its existence and demonstrates how quickly, in an era of seemingly limitless connectivity, something can be created from nothing at the drop of a return key. We are living in an age where powers once reserved for the gods are bestowed upon a simple man (I'm assuming) from Shreveport (also assuming): to shape form from the darkness. What a time to be alive.

On the 8th Day Man created Grill Nutt. And he saw that it was good.

Only problem is "nutt" is not a word, hoss. Unless you're referring to some relative of Houston Nutt.

'Grill Nutt' might be the most culturally significant thing to come out of shrevesport in years. At least since Hurricane Chris was hollering at Halley Berry on the podium at the state capital.

I quite like the term, hell I edited my bio.

If the phrase grill nutt has compromised your jimbobs then you may not know it, but you've been shellacked with pipping hot grill nutt

I saw this thread yesterday when it first appeared on the Rant and thought it was dumb so I ignored it. But to check back 23 hours later and see five plus pages I must admit...

Good thread Flocka, nicely played.

I'll be certain to use this phrase as the season rolls along.

Perfect example of grill nutt as it relates to LSU I think is best portrayed by Lane Mestipay's career.

Delivered Grill Nutt: 2001 - 11-3 W-L record with a 3.75 ERA in 22 appearances (19 starts) ... in 139.1 innings, he allowed 158 hits and 77 runs (58 earned) with 37 walks and 79 strikeouts ... 7-3 in SEC regular-season games with a 3.30 ERA in 79 innings ... finished No. 1 in the SEC in wins, starts and innings pitched, No. 6 in strikeouts, No. 8 in ERA
2001 Baseball America First-Team Freshman All-American
2001 Baseball Weekly First-Team Freshman All-American
2001 Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year
2001 First-Team All-Southeastern Conference

Received Grill Nutt: 2004 - 7-4 mark and a 3.51 ERA in 100 innings (20 appearances, 14 starts)
2004 SEC Academic Honor Roll
