Most of the RP incidents was him being a total jackass.

How many of those incidents resulted in RP getting charged for 2nd degree assault? How about 0?

Thats fine. BUT how much effect did it have on the team??? ALL the BS RP put Miles through in 08 and 09 had a SERIOUS effect on how the team was ready mentaly and physically. FACT.

No crime, no time. In the world of big time college football, involvement will get you in trouble only if you are deep on the depth chart.

Depends on the coach and his relationship to the players in question. Some coaches will not do anything unless charges are filed. Some unless the player is found guilty.

I would guess very few would suspend based on involvement alone. Would you agree?

My guess is that if there are no charges filed that Miles will treat this as a "team issue" and not an individual issue.

He was alleged to have passed some counterfeit $20s, but was never implicated.

OK we are talking about the SENIOR LEADER of this team being very stupid. Its a shame taht JJ can't really go anywhere in BR without someone bashing him, BUT he should NOT put himself in that position. IMO. YES Miles needs to get the facts QUICK and act accordingly. My hope is that Les does not pull a tressel and let JJ play against the Ducks and THEN sits him down. If he lets him play against OU let him play against everyone.

I am with you 100%. Miles has put his own arse on the line with JJ and hyped him as the team leader etc.... If word comes out JJ was involved in a fight, I would mark it down as one of the most idiotic, brainless things in the history of LSU athletics. Two weeks before your season opener???

If Miles suspends JJ AFTER the Oregon game, he will rightly be judged as an opportunist here. If there is any suspension, it needs to be done for the opener.

We dont know what happened. What would you say if some frat guy had been talking crap to JJ all night then finally says the word that goes over the line as they are leaving This causes Jarvis Landry to take up for his friend and deck him. The result is a big tussle and JJ was in someway involved. Do you want him to sit games because he was defending a guy who defended him? This was a scenario I have seen and makes just as much sense as some of the others. We dont know what happend. The 4 injured guys the players Miles and the cops are the only ones who know and they dont even know all of it most likely. I trust Miles to sit who needs to be sat.

Its a shame this is happening. BUT LSU has a shitload of players that can go play the game they were taught to play. If It means LSU doesn't win the NC... OH well WE will do it the right way. As it stands in college football, Doing the right thing could help you.

If there are one or two game suspensions, I think it will galvanize the team in a way like never before.

JJ should have not been there at 1:30 in the A.M. if this is the case.

YES. He made a bad desicion by going there in the 1st place.

Very posible. BUT this is crucial for Miles. Look at what happened to the team in 08-09. They had ZERO focus and/or discipline. Alot of it from the RP disaster. He was just starting to get this back at the end of last year. It may be gone if the wrong choice is made.

I agree. How it is handled (based on what actually happened) is crucial. My statement was directed at a specific declaration.

2nd degree assault = 2nd degree assault
There's a big difference between the starting quarterback and a backup offensive lineman though.

Kyle Anderson was a former tight end (From the Woodlands Texas) that had been moved to the OL. He broke a guys jaw that was harrassing his girlfriend or something to that effect. This happened shortly after the initial incidents with Ernest McCoy and Jarvis Jones.

I remember it being reported that Anderson went back to Miles several times and asked to be reinstated to the team, but was refused.

Will be interesting to see what unfolds here. If you discipline the black starting quarterback, all the bleeders and program defenders will come out of the woodwork screaming racism too. That's an established fact of life.

So was JJ there?? WHY?? OK did he break curfew?? YES. Does MIles NEED THIS??? NO. NIP IT NOW. I don't care about FANS that want JJ to be around for the Ducks game. Sit him down now. IF he ends up with ZERO law- infractions, OK. You would be doing the right thing Les. Whats he gonna say?? We LOST to The Ducks cause we didn't have a rule beaker[and senoir leader at qb]. Or we lost as a team that did what is expected of them???
