Alabama fans clinging on their national titles in football and expecting to return to the way it was with Bear? ....or alot of you LSU baseball fans clinging on their national titles in baseball and expecting to return to the way it was with Skip?

Really, there's not a lot of difference. Yet, Gumps are the running joke of the board and you laugh each and everytime the past is brought up.

At least ours were somewhat recent.

Agree to an extent. Although, I'm not one who ever expects LSU baseball to become what it was a decade ago.

But atleast LSU legitimately one all of their national championships in baseball.

Almost half of Bama's football titles aren't recognized by anyone but Bama.

Or maybe thinking MU will return to the Norm Stewart glory years...or thinking my alma mater can compete with MU in any sport (other than baseball and some womens sports)

In all seriousness, thinking that LSU is going to reel off 5 in a decade.

In Alabama's defense, they did get a title after ten post-Bear seasons. Alabama proved that it could win the big one without the Bear; isn't it, therefore, realistic to assume that it can happen again, and relatively soon?

(btw, I find it equally realistic that LSU can return to baseball prominence.)

Our 13th National Title will come withing 3 years. And the 14th shortly after that.

Was it over when LSU didn't win a NC in 50 years?

Not entirely. Obviously I can't predict when it will be, but counting anyone out of a 10 year picture is ignorant.

As for the original question:

I don't consider either to be 'bad'. Once you win, it becomes expected.

With Saban at the helm, you guys will never lose less than three games in a season.

I'll take it considering that it won us a NC last year.

You'll never see that kind of luck for a NC again in 60 years.

Of course you will. I don't think there will be a 2 loss NC in a long time, though.

Plus, I guess 2003 was a fluke, right?

Bama will continue to be a middle of the road SEC West team for the foreseeable future. The embarrasment you will receive in Tiger Stadium this fall will be epic.

LSU was lucky to beat Bama last year. We'll be much improved, LSU will be down this year. Will there be a meltdown in BR when Saban wins there this year?

We will be better this year than last. It will be a rude beatdown this year. I wouldn't attend that game if I were you guys. I'd go to the ULM game instead. Oh wait.

In 2000, when LSU hired Saban, did you see a run in the 2000s that would produce 2 NCs, 3 SECC by the year 2007? I'm going to call you a liar if you thought that.

Why, pray tell, will Alabama 'continue to be a middle of the road SEC West team for the foreseeable future '? Is it because we finally have a good coach? Is it because we finally will have the talent level of the other top programs?

Get your head out of your arse, homer. LSU will not continue to dominate the SECW, just like Alabama could not continue its domination.

Less than 14.

Better than last year?

QB- Ok, I can see this, if Perrilloux stays out of trouble
RB- Push
WR- Push
OL- Better

Ok, maybe a little bit better on offense if Perrilloux starts.

DL- You don't lose Glenn Dorsey and get better, sorry. It will be great, but not as great.
MLB- Loses a lot of starters, not as good.
Secondary- See above.
