untrue. the only reason Bama was in the game was because of all the stupid turnovers.

The pass from Flynn to Doucet saved our arse in the Bama game, and yes we have lost some senior leadership but the game will be much different in Tiger Stadium this year imo.......

I'm just looking at the situation objectively. One great recruiting year does not a championship team make. You have to change the culture of losing around the Bama program first and I don't see Saban staying around long enough for that. LSU will continue to maintain a straglehold on the west for the next decade.

Isn't turning over the ball part of the game?

No, you are looking at it from the best possible outcome for LSU.

Yes, all of us know that the #1 recruiting class will not make us 5 wins better. However, consistent Top 5 or 10 recruiting classes will. You may slander Saban all you want, but he is probably the second best recruiter in the country.

If LSU wins 6 or 7 of the next SECW championships, I would call that a stranglehold. If they do that, I will eat a heaping pile of crow. I don't see any team winning the West or East more than 4 times over the next decade.

To answer the original question, before you even begin to remotely compare the Bama football/Lsu Baseball crowd, just read one of the many similar posts from Tidesports, and tell me if you think we are even on the same planet....

92,00 fans for A day. no other team can match that and there obvious jelousy over it . We have the best coach the the most fans during spring football that no other team can match. They may have won the so called BCS national championship but it really doesn't campare to the passion that we have for our program and process.

Yes, but that is the reason you were in the game. As well as dumb penalties. The game started out as a blowout and should have been.

Yeah, I'll take a packed house at the Spring game over a National Championship any day. Whatever makes 'em feel better about themselves.

BamaRulzSEC, I jizz purple and gold, and you and I both know that if/when Saban ever beats LSU, no matter when, where, or the circumstances, there will be an epic meltdown in Baton Rouge. Nick Saban is the object of one of the most pathetic obsessions with which I've ever made myself familiar.

All it took was for one Bama fan to post about a national championship and this thread blows up. It kinda reiterates my point I was hinting at.

I really hope it happens in Baton Rouge this year. Probably not going to happen, I have that marked as a definite loss, but the amount of head explosions per capita in Louisiana would increase dramatically.

I have pity for this board if it does happen. The Rantards will go nuts, and there will be an invasion of Alabama fans.

Football hasn't started and the first Major hasn't been played yet. I need to let stress out.

take away the La. Tech game and LSU gave up 30 points a game their last eight games. Losing Pelini and those Seniors would not leave even the most diehard LSU fan optimistic for 20008s Defense.

Defense will be better this year than last. Linebacker will be question mark.

Wrong. It will be good, probably Top 10, but it won't be as good as it was.

What about your secondary?

LSU won the game last year because of a stupid turnover by JPW late in the game. That, and the refs cheating us out of big gains on replay reversals.
