I think after last season I think maybe Les has caught on to the competition thing. Some of these youngs guys can really play.

I forgot about Wright. I think we're going to be fine at the WR position.

yeah, I agree with Boone. Also, Copeland, Ware and Reid

What about this Vinson Guy....I have no idea why but I have a feeling about this kid....just looks like an agressive kid....

Do you think Les reshirts the young guys or will this year really bring the open competition he spoke of after last season

Remember that the redshirt option is the student-athletes first and foremost. The coach can only suggest r/s to a player. If the player(such as Shepard last season)refuses to accept the redshirt proposal then they are gambling that their talent and abilities will get them legitimate playing time. Often a kid opts not to redshirt but the coaches simply don't play them. When this happens, generally the player will give in by midseason and the redshirt tag is applied and sticks unless injuries necessitate the player being thrown into the fire(like Travis Daniels in the '01 SECCG).

i dont know about this one, im pretty sure its totally up to the coach...I dont think their are too many players that wanted to redshirt...I know I didnt want to, and it was known that I didnt have a choice either...

Unless Murphy goes down with an injury, I don't see why Gore would play.

Does E.Reid get the R/S now that Loston is supposedly receiving a medical reshirt for this past season?
