Paul if he fires Javi.
Overall, LSU conference hitting stats have actually outperformed pitching since PM/Javi arrival.
I think Dunn's success is more critical than firing a hitting coach that's had LSU in the top 4 SEC BA every year prior to this one.

I'm not sure about Paul win ning a championship but I think les will next year !

Les Miles, by a wide margin over the other coaches.
Winning the SEC in football will give you a far greater likelihood of playing for/winning the national title, than winning the baseball or basketball titles. The SEC football champ would be at worst a co-favorite with, say, Florida St; while winning the league in the other sports isn't as impressive. And Les CAN win the SEC

No one has forgotten anything. There may be a chance (10%) that one of the lesser sports, golf, swimming & diving, soccer or volleyball wins an NC over the next ten years. I think a 10% chance of pulling a national championship with one of those sports is about right.

Yeah, because Nikki Caldwell has a better shot than Weinsted at bringing home a national title over the next 10 years.

Who knows? Chances are low on both counts IMO. If LSU golf wins one NC over the next ten years that will be more or less exactly as I predicted.

I do agree with this. The men did, however, finish #3 and are getting 4/5 in their rotation back with a stud reserve ti fill in. We also have 3 top 20 recruits coming in for 2015
Meanwhile, the only recruiting publication for women's bball noted Caldwell didn't sign a single player in the top 100 this year, and her class sucked last season.
just pointing out that LSU golf is in great shape. Caldwell's recruiting will catch up with her eventually

We're in agreement there. Nikki's chances of taking a team to an NC is low.

That's impressive
I would love to see any LSU team win an NC. If the golf team is on the brink then I sincerely hope they indeed prove me to be clueless.

Yeah, she's gotta sign that big center for John Curtis, or she's toast. What sucks is that her dad is a Tech grad, so you already know Kim Mulkey is all over her. don't follow it closely enough to remember her name, but she's an elite talent.
yeah, bama golf won its first national title under their coach in his 9th season. Last season was Chuck's 9th season, and we finished #3. Classic example of how people are so damn impatient and want immediate success, but sometimes it takes time to execute the best plan

BA has been adequate, and you have to be blind not to see pitching depth and defense takes you further into NCAA tourney than BA these days.

1. Shaver
T2. Breaux/Miles/Torina
If any of those three have the best shot, it's Breaux, but she has to prove she can seal the deal. She has all the pieces she needs, so she has to deliver.
I think we're underestimating a bit how difficult it is to win a football title, and although my knowledge about softball is extremely limited, my gut feeling is similar there.
T3. Caldwell/Mainieri
(I've lost a lot of confidence in Mainieri. Call me when we're back in the CWS.)
